Palms Bar & Grill reviews
15Had a great steak. Good to pregame with some fantastic cheese balls. Everything else is okay.
Staff were hospitable, kind and gracious. Food as good as it gets in the heartland. We are eager to return in the near future.
I asked the waitress how big the breaded tenderloin sandwich was, if it was large enough to share. She said it was. It wasn't. I was shocked this $12 sandwich was served dry, on a dry bun. No mayo, tomato or lettuce, and cheese cost extra. The chips and queso appetizer was huge. Their mixed drinks were pricey but worth it. When we arrived, it was lunch hour, VERY busy so they must be doing something right.
Been several times food has always been mediocre at best. Got the special “cowboy tacos” pulled pork, beans and Mac and cheese, all very bland no sauce on the meat just bushes baked beans. Good atmosphere but I’d stick to drinks and maybe the fries
Stopped in to see my niece and have some lunch, food and drinks were killer and the service, Amazing. It’s changed a lot in 30 years.
Great waiter (Wes) who tolerated our silliness. Great variety of food that was well prepared.
Best Ruben I've had in awhile had to make a 100 mile trip from k.c. To get it but we'll worth it had been there a couple times and the food has been great this time the service was weak server acted like it was chore to do her job.
The chicken sandwich was great and our server was very attentive but the bathrooms on the other hand were the nastiest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a bar. Worse than any gas station I’ve ever been in
Service was totally awesome. I loved the food. The atmosphere was good, but flies kept flying around us inside the restaurant.
This is a much improvement to the "college bar" that was here! The server was top notch. The food was amazing. The speed of the kitchen was less than desirable; we were a large group though. All of our food came out at the same time. I highly recommend trying this place out. I heard nothing but compliments from my friends dinning with me.
Update 18 & 19 March
It is still a place I will keep in my rotation of places to eat. That being said it has fallen from the lofty previous experiences. The fries are different, thinner and sub par. The onion rings come out missing most of their crusts. The pork on the nacho appetizers the last couple of times have been mostly fat. Sandwiches have always been spot on. Pastas have always been spot on. Burgers have always been spot on. The service has always been spot on. Cleanliness of dinning area is always amazing. It is still a good place to eat at and I will keep it in my rotations. I feel it is a solid 4 / 5
We love the palms! Beer is always cold and the food is fantastic. The shrimp wrap with Boom boom sauce is a must have. The Memphis tenderloin is another hit. The tenderloin wrap is also very good. Sunday Brunch is fantastic too. Stop in for a beer and eat you will not be disappointed!
The wife.and I made the trip to Maryville to see the Freedom Rock, then decided to get lunch there, Everything was very good and service was good. We were from Des Moines Iowa.
The food I've had so far has been good sometimes it takes a little bit to get food. Getting better
It took a half hour to get a drink however they had a large group in there when we were there, burger was good, fries were grease soaked and wet, they have some jalapeño cheese ball things that were really good, the server did her best, we will probly be back, that burger was good
