Parkview Healthcare, Kansas City MO

I am a resident of this facility. I have only been here 2 days and can see I have made the biggest mistake of my life. I am unable to walk because of paralysis of my lower legs. I was in a nursing home in my home town that was being closed by the state. The administrator of Parkview Healthcare came to my nursing home and talked a damn good talk. He promised a TV with cable (yeah it is there but all I can watch is the black screen, it does not work!). He also promised good meals. I have had 1 meal in my two days here and it was so spicy hot I couldn’t eat it, neither could my roommate. When they pass trays they just walk past this room. The help are nice and friendly and when they finally get here they do good work but, for example, my call light has been on over 4 1/2 hours. I had to use the bed pan but not anymore, it’s too late. Another but, earlier this evening I was watching my iPad, thank god for that, I dozed off and when I woke up my iPad was gone. When someone finally answered my light she said oh it’s in bed with you somewhere. She ripped my covers off of the bed (they landed on the floor knocking over my bag of Cheetos so they are all over the floor too) only to find no iPad. She says oh it’s here somewhere and turned around and left. I checked what I could from my position in bed and did not see it. No one in this building showed any interest in looking for this $1900 too of line iPad. I haven’t seen an employee in this room since! And don’t get me started on trying to get medications here! That is a whole other story. What it boils down to is I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place. I have requested to be sent to another facility. If I am not out of here by Friday I am calling my attorney and the State Board that controls nursing homes. I am fed up with this place! No one deserves to be treated like this

I came to parkview as a resident in Feb of 2023! I had recently had 5 surgeries prior to arriving. It’s now Oct 2023 and I’ve made a full recovery. Thanks to the administration, nursing staff, and all departments. The food was good. If you come here and want to get better you can, I’m living proof.

Parkview has made alot of huge improvements The nursing staff cna s nurses cmt care for their residents as if they were caring for their own family Management is a team of Professionals who do a great job and new ownership has helped alot BRANT new ADMINISTRATIOR steps up and does what's right when issues arise he is a professional 5 star administrator To many of us residents here at parkview its a cozy calm atmosphere it's our HOME we have seen many improvements that have been done to make our HOME even better the staff is attentive, friendly, exceptional care to the needs of both residents and their family it is very clean and well kept we are so glad we have BRANT a 5 star Professional Administrator

This location is just lazy, I suppose lack common sense too. My family visit recently here to check on our elderly loved one was just appalling, and shock! The fly wouldn't leave the 2 elderly patients alone and it wasn't until my daughter was going to sit in the wheelchair when she noticed it was layered in feces. So I thought I would tidy things up, a large box was on the floor as I'm going thru it everything was covered in feces. While moving the box out of the room very very large roaches were attached to the bottom of the box. And more upsetting is that both little ladies were offered a little something to eat and they ate so FAST you would have thought they were starving? It was like they didn't know when they would eat again! A message was left w Deja to have someone contact us regarding the extreme issue and as of now, still no contact?

My expectations were broken, I thought it was a different place, with professionalism. It smells bad, it smells like cigarettes, the bathrooms are dirty and are shared for up to 4 patients.

It would be horrible idea to send your relative or anyone you love to this facility. The staff is in need of training and are super rude. It smells and they never clean up. We don't know any information and have been calling for 6 months to figure out the details from doctors, counselors, and fake book keepers. Till this day we still don't have any information and feel robbed by the care from this facility. Once again DO NOT send your relatives/loved ones here.

My best friend (early 40s) died here, April 2023.

They were completely mentally aware and the staff would refute that they'd already fed them. They went from weighing about 240 lbs when they went in to about 190 lbs when they died.

When their stuff was retrieved from the facility all of their electronic chargers and some of their clothes were missing.

Parkview failed their mission to provide care for my brother and I'm holding them totally responsible for his death on 3/13/23. We had to advocate for them to send him to the hospital on 3/24/23 or he would have died there at this disgusting place! I will continue to advocate for those patients there without a voice! People please check on your loved ones! There are a few employees that care, but not many! I don't know how some of these people sleep at night!

I hate this place which is dirty, nasty and stinky! Someone has stolen my brother's things several times and nobody knows anything! So it's either the staff or patients doing the stealing! I would give this place zero stars if possible! The pictures are deceiving as well! It's never that clean in there! I wouldn't want to board my dog there! Looking for a new place asap!

The food they serve my mother and all the other residents is always cold upon them receiving their food trays is a red flag first off then the fact my mother has had to call my wife and I many nights to have someone either assist her with getting in bed or using the bathroom. Sad thing my mom just needs physical therapy to become independent again after suffering a stroke in feb ‘22 and she’s only 55 so yea the staff don’t really treat the residents as their family and I know first hand due to 13 yrs of healthcare experience CNA and CMT duties that things here aren’t right and any review above a one star is falsified completely.

Parkview Healthcare has consistently met or exceeded my expectations regarding care shown to my loved ones and everyone I’ve referred there. It’s refreshing to see new management step up and do what’s right when issues arise. I will continue to refer others to Parkview because care on this high of a level is difficult to come across.

This place has been making lots of changes and I have to say it has been working out for the best. So keep doing what your doing Parkview Health Care. Great turn around and even better Staff and Management looking good.

Park view has made great changes and things are running so much smoother since the new administrator took over.

New management and ownership have made lots of positive changes. Facility is responsive, full management team, NO AGENCY all in house staff for continuation of care, and facility service dog.

Parkview Healthcare has made huge improvements. The staff care for the residents as if they were their own family. The new administration and management has made this a healthcare facility to be proud of!

The staff is amazing! A lot of residents there are so fun. It's a great environment. I hear lots of great things are coming in the future!

Staff are very attentive to resident needs. They have gone above and beyond in providing services for residents.

Brant Willoughby is great to work with! Overall swell fellow and a solid asset to the company as well as the residents! Great experience!
