Peking Chop Suey reviews
15This was my first time eating Peking in 10 years. The rice was burnt, no flavor, too expensive! I spent $13 for a whole order of plain fried with egg, brussel sprouts, and green onions. I had to wait five minutes before someone came to the front. It was Sunday, and I just came back from out of town and had a taste for some rice. I see why I've been M. I. A from this place. Nevertheless, it won't happen again. P. S. I threw it away!
Horrible customer service the worst food I’ve ever had the plate had 6 pieces of meat n it was all UNSEASONED.no seasoning at all the man is soooo extremely rude don’t go here ever
So I visited them on last Sunday around 7pm.although I personally didn't have any issues, I witnessed some BS that made my stomach turn and at that point I decided, I could no longer patronize them. I have been coming here more than 30 years, but the way the older man, probably the owner, talked down and demeaning to another black male customer led to decide that night was my last time there
. If I could have gotten my money back, I would have for GP.the older man's exact words were, and I quote, " what do you order, what do you want, hurry up, I have no time for you" wait a whole.damn minute, you have no time.for a customer who was.not rude, who was trying to order, who was reviewing your menu to speed his money at your establishment.he said it MORR THAN ONCE! The guy finally said, you have no time for me so inwill.take my money elsewhere, as he should. PE King definitely showed me first hand how they feel about black male customers in particular, there I too.cant spend another thin dime there, regardless to me actually thinking their food was.decent. I'm real disappointed, but I will be damned if I do
Too quick to hang up the phone I asked about st. Paul sandwiches I was told they had them but then he hung up the phone. Excuse me I wanted to place an order. No matter I won't be ordering here
I am only giving one star because 0 stars was not an option. Extremely horrible experience. Had an issue picking up ducks for Thanksgiving as owner looked at my daughter and I and said "you people are always trying to get over". My wife's cousin purchased 2 ducks and sent us the receipt asking us to pick up the order as he had to work. When we produced the receipt, the racist comments were verbalized by the owner and his son.
We are African American and were offended that another minority race especially would be so rude. The owner stated that his behavior and words didn't matter. I think he is under the impression that he can say what he wants with no consequences. We will never go back to this place. Not only did they not give us the food, they refused to satisfy the request for a refund. They did not apologize for racist comments and dismissed us.
PEKING CHOP SUEY ON HALLS FERRY ROAD IS RACIST AND DOES NOT DESERVE BLACK PEOPLE'S BUSINESS.
Need to update online menu, attitudes are f@$$ing horrible. Terrible service but good food. Crazy
Good "hood" Chinese food. The Special noodles are packed with meat and an ample amount of broth. They also have the egg rolls that I prefer.which have the light and crispy wrapper. However, be prepared the owner (older gentleman) is rude on the phone. He yells at you and rushes you off the phone.
Hot braised chicken combo plate was terrible! Food was old. Not fresh. Crab Rangoon tasted like it was made last week. Only thing that saved this disaster were the veggie egg rolls.
Very small serving size for the prices of the food. Fried rice was overcooked / mushy. Not enough white rice for specialty dishes. Customer Service was not friendly
First experience with Chinese food in St Louis and I was not impressed. Coming from a large city with plentiful portions and food that pleasures the palate. I will not be back.
Food prices were too high and food was not seasoned or tasty! On 7/2/2022 I ordered whole order of duck fried rice, sweet and sour chicken w/whole wings and 3 eggrolls.the eggrolls were good.cost $41.00.cash only. My bad.but I will never, I mean never again revisit this Chinese restaurant! Price gouging during 4th holiday!
Since I went into what I'm sure they would like us to categorize as their 'dining' area to order, I was viewing the wrong prices, which coincided with prior visits. This is one of our two neighborhood Chinese food places, and as always I ordered a half-order of Special fried rice and a Deluxe St. Paul. But now those two items are $21.00, when I was getting them pre-pandemic for about $11! That's like raising the price $5 each of the last 2 years, all at once! Did I mention that there's nothing spectacular about the food that would make it worth more than any other restaurant in the area? I won't be back!
Thus please USED to have good fried rice, now it's just mediocre. The egg rolls are big and delicious
Food is definitely not worth the price. 8 dollars for a half order of fried rice. Rice had a funky smell tasted like it smelled. I would rather travel a little farther for food that actually taste good. Over all experience was underwhelming.
This was a staple in my house from 1990-1998 my mom would buy this almost every weekend. Eventhough I know it was full of MSG, but man it was the perfect taste for me…. I haven’t been back there since 2000 so I don’t how it is now.
I call the place today and the person I talk to was talking to fast and rushing to get off the phone with me. That’s not good service for me.
