Penny Window reviews
20 We ordered windows in April of 2020, they told me it may take about 6 weeks but window didn’t get to installed till Late July 2020.
They are rude and they don’t care about you. Only thing they say is we will look into it and get back.
And they don’t get back to you, you have to call them to follow up again.
Terrible company to deal with.
Well the 70 year old looking woman was extremely rude to me talking Over a me trying to be a know-it-all had very expensive attitude toward my wallet
I had to call sales person who came to my house to get my estimate. It was not emailed in a timely manner. I guess if you don't live in West County or St. Charles County they are super lax in getting back to you.
Very poor customer service. Communication is horrible throughout. I made an appointment 2 weeks prior with an alternative number. Day of service no one called either number. Chuck “claims” he knocked on the door no one was home.with 2 cars in the driveway, lied and said a missed appointment card was left in the door. Nothing there. I called main number and the lady didnt care at all. Told me to reschedule. Entire day was wasted. Me and my family will never use them again.
I called to get a new storm door. I got a quote over the phone. It seemed high but I accepted it anyway because I really needed a storm door. On the day someone was to come out I got a call saying “if that’s all you’re getting is a storm door than the price is going to be $300 more because we have a minimum of installing just one thing, do you need any windows as well”? I definitely would not recommend Penny Windows.
Tanya was remarkably patient with me, making the process go smoothly. This building now looks brand-new, but it's 60 years old.
They fixed our windows after damage from a nearby explosion. Did a great job, friendly and reasonable price!
I got a quote set an appointment for repairs. Nobody showed up. I was initially told that I don't need to be home and I could pay upon completion of the job. When nobody came I called and was told that I would get a call back. Days past, nobody called so I called back again. I finally talked to Chuck, Chuck told me they called to confirm the appointment. What is there to confirm? I was given a price, agreed to the price and scheduled a date for the work. There was never a conversation about confirming the appointment I already agreed upon. So Chuck apologized and said he would call back to reschedule.never got a call back from Chuck. Very poor customer service and communication, won't use or recommend Penny Window.
Store don't have enough parts what I need it, and it's more expensive. He helps me search the cheapest on the Internet. Thank you very much for your EXCELLENT! TREMENDOUS! BRILLIANT! SERVICE!
These guys are great, they put all the windows in my St Peters home including a large custom piece upstairs. Recently I had a window broken out at my business. Chuck and his team expedited the repair. Thanks guys. The Wilkerson's
Where there when they said they would be. Where fast, clean, and efficient. New replacement double window looks great. Works wonderfully. Totally satisfied.
Awesome workers and very professional. I had them for my windows and siding. I would recommend them for windows and siding.
I ordered my windows in November, i still have yet to get them installed to no fault of my own.
I went in to purchase part for my window and even though it was a part they dont carry, the sales person didn't try to up charge, he just told me where I could purchase online and save $30. That's service you don't get everywhere. I wish I was buying 300 windows just to do business with these guys.
I had an excellent experience with this company! I needed screens replaced on my condo windows. The gentleman who came to do the job was very courteous and the price was right! I would definitely do business with this company again!
First time using them, and found them to be very professional. Needed to replace broken glasses on security door.looked excellent! Plus had my grandbaby with me.they graciously carried frame to car and put in my car. It was truly helpful to me! Thanks for the great customer service
Just got some windows put in very please with the service they presented. Very honest, caring business.
Great service I recommend them very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and fast. Looking forward to them replacing a few more windows in my home.
Unprofessional, upsetting. Had a simple patio door install, have had to have them come out 3 different times for not doing it correctly and completely. Time is to valuable to use a company that can't do things right the first time. I don't recommend at all, look elsewhere.
This was the worst experience I've had with any contractor.
While the owner, Ken, was pleasant the man who started the installation was was very offensive. I'm a woman who owns a large building and when I pointed out to the installer that the top floor windows were barely attached and he needed to remove them slowly to avoid harming himself he leaned into my face and said:
Do you like doing things slow?
Total creep.
I went back inside to work, my partner called, I told him about it and he suggested I leave the house for the day. I own an online business and didn't want to leave work but while I was considering it the installer was knocking at my door to tell me some story about his son being his work partner. I told him I had to work and ended the 'conversation'.
This was the third of 8 times he knocked on my door for no reason.
15 mins later he was knocking, this time to tell me the order for the windows wasn't accurate and he would have to come back at another time. I told him to call when it was ready. He went outside to do some more work and I left.
Two hours later he was still at my building, stopped me on my way in: Any reason to have a conversation with me. I told him I needed to work and he should have the owner call me with any updates. And then he wouldn't leave. He fumbled around with stuff on his truck. My mail carrier arrived and since I have daily business with him I had to open my door for a brief discussion t which point the installer started back up the steps. I closed the door and called the owner to complain about the installer.
From there it actually went downhill!
Two of the nine windows he had installed on the first floor weren't operational. I had to wait weeks for the owner to fix them. Another two windows frames were scraped so badly paint was missing.
The work was that shoddy.
TWO months later they started work on the second floor and once again, two of the windows wouldn't operate correctly and I had to call them back to for the fix.
Since they obviously DO NOT check their own installation it would be wise for you to check every single window as well as the exterior frame for damage before you pay.
This project took three months.
They work at their leisure and not yours.
If you want the work accomplished by a deadline note it on the contract you sign with them.
Read their contract before signing it!
Be advised they use a nylon mesh for screen windows. A choice of materials was never discussed with me. I would have preferred metal mesh. I don't have cats but have seen what cats and squirrels will do to nylon mesh screens.
They require a hefty down payment and take up to a month to start work.
I told the owner no one had ever talked to me like his installer. Such disrespect, shoddy installation, working at their whim.
He gave me a 4% discount.
Wow.
If you are a woman who owns property be advised when you call you will be asked if you own the building.
I've had two men friends call this company for a general conversation about costs and neither of them were asked if they owned the property.
