I love this place. I highly recommend the stuffed chicken. I asked for the smallest one they had. Still couldn’t finish it. The seasoning and the stuffing was so perfectly balanced. Update: Penrod’s also makes great deli sandwich’s. Life goal is to have one named after me. Update: yeah I’m just gonna keep adding photos. Im never disappointed when I walk into Penrods.

I heard Penrod’s has great meat from my daughter who lives nearby. We just moved to Elsberry and was thrilled it to discover it has a butcher shop! YAY! But, dang! I thought the prices would be astronomical considering it’s a small town. But, no. They have meat that is so affordably packaged by friendly faces on the other side of the counter! And let’s talk about that meat! $2.99 a pound (currently) for pork steaks that melt in your mouth! YUM! I picked up a couple of Ribeyes. We look forward to grilling them. Lastly, let me say that I adore great customer service and it’s in abundance at Penrod’s. They are obviously proud of their little store. Small towns are the best! I included a picture of The Senate movie theatre (the oldest operating theatre in the Missouri from what I understand.) Come check out Elsberry and get some great meat affordably priced at Penrod’s! Thank you to your entire staff. (Some customers were inside and wanted their picture taken too. Hi guys!)

The best meat around and the best people too! The stuffed mushrooms are my absolute favorite but the deli sandwiches are bomb too. Today I got chicken breast, bacon, steak butter and rolls and I'm thrilled with EVERYTHING! I'll be back for sure! Thanks, Penrods!

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try them out for a long time. We went there yesterday and it was the best experience! It is family owned and they were so sweet in helpful in deciding what we were wanting. We got there filet mignon for under $20! That's amazing! We also had never grilled them before and the lady, Samantha, was very helpful and gave us tips on grilling them just right. We will be a forever customer as we love meat and the atmosphere was amazing! I would highly recommend this to any humble meat lovers out there!

BTW - they make a homemade steak butter that was AMAZING on the steaks. It was mouth watering!
