Campground People's Creek reviews
16Go on walks here almost every day people come here to go fishing or swimming there's a campground in the back and above here they have hookups there also for campers. Restrooms and picnic tables and grills there also, boat dock to put boats in and out of water. Beautiful place to even go for walks paved trails.
Beautiful area and campground. I would have given it 5 stars, but the Hill going into and out of the lower campground was very steep. It was dangerous pulling out of the lower campground because of the hill and the fact that the driveway was between two hills on the road. So we had to really gun it to get up the hill, then slam on the brakes because someone was coming. If we stay here again, it will only be in the upper campground.
Nice shaded campground with electric and water hookups a short walk from the lake and beach. Toilets and showers were okay, but the exhaust fans were loud.
Awesome experience. So close to the lake. Perfect swimming area for little ones. Beautiful view
It's so nice and relaxing. Fun for the whole family. The water can get something in it though to make ear infections so beware of that after.
They didn't warn us about the beach being closed so we couldn't swim on the hottest weekend. Could only swim if you had a boat and it is hard to rent a boat and no playground.
New changing/restrooms. Life jackets provided for young swimmers.
Negatives: so many cigarette butts on the beach that it was like sitting in an oversized ash tray.disgusting.
Pavilion on the hill had a lot of trash within the rock hill behind and beside the pavilion. Does nobody clean up after themselves anymore?
Beach is closed currently and we were not given a heads up prior to arrival. Camped here a lot of times and never had an issue. But to close the whole beach cause the pipe needs replaced is ridiculous. Will NOT BOOK HERE AGAIN
I love camping at lower People's Creek. The attendence Michael was very good and a great help
Enjoyed our peaceful stay. Had site 50. Nice paved even site. Full hook up site. Lake was beautiful.
Always clean and free to swim. Public restrooms and picnic table galore. It is always quiet during weekdays.
We had a blast. Stay at campsite right next tó lake. Went swimming everyday. Folks that live and work at campgrounds are super awesome and are helpful and nice as can be.
Very nice campground. Typical Army Corp Campground. Typical in that everything is perfect. Very clean. Full hookups in the southern loop with 30/50 amp power. All sites paved.
There are two loops here. Loop 1 through 38 (the northern loop called The Lower Loop) and Loop 39-57 (southern loop called The Upper Loop).
We arrived in October and The Lower Loop was already closed for the season. Hence, this review is only for The Upper Loop.
All sites well designed for easy back in. When you pull in off the main road the first road to your left is sites 55 through 57. If your turn right then straight ahead is the main camping area, but just to your left are sites 50 through 52. From a walk around the campground it looks like all the sites are pretty level side to side But, from front to back you may be on a slope.
The worst site here in my opinion would be site 39. It backs directly up to the very busy and noisy highway. I would avoid this site.
Very nice marina within walking distance with a boat ramp. Nice paved hiking trail around the park. Shower and toilet facilities available. Picnic tables and fire rings at each site. Camp host on duty.
People’s Creek at Wappappello Lake has camping areas, a beach for swimming, and a boat ramp for launching a boat. Gave it a four because it’s not a clear lake, but we often enjoy the area for swimming, boating, picnics, and tubing.
Our site for the camper was absolutely PERFECT #29. My favorite spot so far in our journey with our new camper.
