Pepperoni Bill's Pizzeria reviews
18 We are visiting from our of town. 5 of us decided to visit here for some pizza based on the reviews instead of driving all the way to Osage Beach. I always appreciate a small business and always give grace to them, however I also will always be truthful. This is a cute little place right in the square. Unfortunately no subs or pasta were available at all and the reason given was that they only had 2 cooks.
We all order and as I'm eating my salad the server mentions the $8.95 salad bar is a 1 trip only. Usually salad bars are all you can eat, especially for $9, however the deep rim plates allow you to get a pretty large amount. Our pizzas/calzone come. We spent over $100.
None of us like them at all. The consensus was nothing tasted fresh but rather it tasted like frozen pizza from Walmart. Sauce tasted like it was from a can, the dough felt chewy and bland, the toppings tasted frozen and flavorless and the way mine was cut was very confusing as several pieces were the size of a half dollar.
We were thoroughly disappointed.
The best thing about the food was the little sweet peppers at the salad bar.
They also have a little robot server.
This is our experience through our lens and tastes. If you're in the area stop by, perhaps you will enjoy it but, it's definitely not for us.
I’m grateful that they have a vegan cheese option. And even more grateful that they don’t up-charge for it, like a lot of restaurants do. We’ve eaten here three times and it is consistently good. Do not be in a hurry because the service is a little slow, but we always enjoy our food from here. We’ll be back!
It's okay. Don't let my lack of enthusiasm stop you from trying it though. I'm not big on pizza.
We like to try different pizza shops when traveling and this was hands down one of the best we have came across. This isn't your typical box Hut pizza. Locally owned pizza shops are much more fun and good. I believe it is all thin crust pizzas. It was delicious we stuffed our selves.
Totally a terd show. I’m sure they will blame it on their lack of staff. Here’s an idea. Pay more money!
We had a large deluxe pizza. It was excellent. This was our first time in the new dining addition. Kids will love that they have a robot, named Crash, who delivers the pizza to the table. What fun!
Truly a great pizza place. I had their meatballs and garlic bread to start and the meatballs were large and flavorful with a really nice and light consistency. I followed up with a calzone that had some of the best ground beef I've ever had at pizza place, so often ground beef for a pizza is tough and bland but this was great. Everything was made to order exactly as we requested and the server was quick and attentive. I would absolutely recommend a visit.
The restaurant was clean. Pizza was hot and tasty. Service was on the slow side. Had to signal waitress a couple times for a refill. They have expanded their space so should be plenty of room. Only open 4-9 pm but it is the lake.
Always yummy. Best pizza! Excellent salad bar. If you try Pepperoni Bill's one time, it will be your new "go to" place
Had'nt been in since moving away from the lake 5 years ago. Same great crust. Same grat service. Kudos Bill & team.
The staff and toppings on pizza were great. The crust however was so over done it was hard to chew.
The server was very nice. The food was ok. The problem was it took 1 hour and 10 mins to get our pizza. By the time it was brought to the table I was ready to leave. We ate a few pieces and left.
Went there a couple days ago with my two kids while we were down there for vacation. My daughter was disappointed that we were going home before Friday (which is our normal Friday pizza movie night). She was hoping to enjoy some more pizza from here.
We moved here almost 8 months ago. How has it taken me this long to discover this place? It's not like I don't drive by it daily. Honestly, I was starting to get the impression that good pizza did not exist at the lake. We moved from the NW Suburbs of Chicago where pizza is practically it's own food group, so it was disheartening to say the least to not be able to score a quality pie.
That changed this week, as this place knows how to do it right. I am not easily impressed and I was pretty blown away by the freshness of the toppings, the delicious crust, and the tanginess of the sauce. Just. Friggin. Yum.
Do note that you will pay more than average for a pie here, but after you take that first bite you will know where that extra cash is going. I opted for sliced meatballs as an option on mine in place of more traditional meat offerings, and that was sure a good call. I will definitely be going that route again. I probably should have taken some pictures but I pretty much attacked it as soon as we got it home, so no dice there. I will try to take one on subsequent visits.
I opted for carryout, but the interior looks nice and would make for a good night out option with my fam also I suspect. If you are in or around this area and are looking for a good pizza, this place is a no-brainer. Now I just need to try that RJ's place down the street that is so packed it looks like they are giving away free beer and lap dances every time I drive by.
The food is great. Pictured is the chicken bacon ranch pizza, which is ok. But the real winner for me is the BLT Insalata pizza. It is my new favorite pizza, and will quite possibly be the only thing I order from here on out! They don't skimp on the bacon, and it balances out the salad on top.
Pizza and salad was great. The docking of a star is because they don't tell you it will be a 45 min wait (which I understand) UNTIL YOU ARE SITTING DOWN and have your drink. That's sort of a marketing ploy.
Pizza was good. Crust was a little thin for my liking, although unsure if they had something thicker available at the time I ordered (wasn't offered anything different).
This place is amazing! The pizza is the best at the Lake. Great prices, fresh ingredients, lovely staff. The salad bar is a great deal. Especially if you share. Homemade salad dressings. Really creative and classic pizzas. Good for takeout too.
