16Annie at Petco did an amazing job with our dog. I'm always pleased with their services. She kept me informed and gave me a tentative pick up time.
The staff is rude as all get out. Especially Eric. These employees are not here for our pets and definitely not the owners! I've been twice and I will never return! I spend too much money and time in Petco to be treated so disrespectfully and with such a lack of knowledge pertaining to the pets and products.
If you shop here, save and check your receipt! When we went in because we were overcharged, another customer was at the register because they were OVERCHARGED. Beware.
Free pet food! Free pet supplies! Best store to steal from. There is never a cashier anywhere around the register, nor the front end of the store.
I waited nearly 10 minutes at the cash register and no employee ever came up to ring up my items. I paced back and forth, from the cash register to the door a few times to make it look like I was going to walk out without paying for the items, and shockingly not a single employee ever came up front to ring up my items. I walked out casually with $60 of free stuff. Probably why the Chesterfield location closed - their customer service sucked too, lol.
Obviously, sales aren't important to Petco, otherwise they would employ cashiers.
Fish have for downhill since the change in their aquatics department. I don't even know if they have a dedicated person taking care of them. Most ask if them have clamped fins and ich.
Becca does a great job with Ellis! I appreciate her time and care with my senior! She makes logical suggestions for additional services appropriate for him. I really appreciate Becca.
I buy lot of my stuff from Petco. I even take Toby for grooming there. I like a lot. It is just a bit expensive but great quality.
I had to deal with an extremely rude employee and was disgusted at how the fish and lizards are treated. The only thing this place is qualified to sell is dog food.
Took my dog to be groomed for his scheduled apt and was turned away because he took anxiety meds. I was told I had to have a letter from my vet and apt had to be first thing in the morning. I’ve been going to PetCo for years, with my dog taking meds before grooming every time and they have always known. It has NEVER been a problem and never once have I ever been told about this policy. What a massive waste of my time and incredibly aggravating. The employee who informed me also was unapologetic and rude about it as well, like it was my fault I didn’t know.
I thought it was nice to be fitted in but I was charged a 130.00 for grooming that’s a crazy price and I had to pay for supplies that they was out of and I thought the guy got snappy with me when I asked and he said they didn’t change me and they clearly did
If I could rate 0 stars I would. Scheduled an appointment with Tyler C.online the day before and was refused a service (shaving body besides the mane and tail, like a lion cut) which I’ve had done to my pomeranian for over 6 years. I have been to multiple Petcos in the past with great experiences so I am extremely disappointed. Tyler recommended a different haircut after I requested she was shaved short aside from her mane and tail. He then proceeded to deny the service as a whole because he deemed it wasn’t good for her “undercoat” and “wouldn’t grow back properly”. As a licensed cosmetologist I was just confused because I’ve never had an issue with her haircut in the past. Waste of my day, I’ll go to someone who actually wants to do their job.
Great place for pets and their needs. Was looking for a new taste of food for my shepherd. Great selection.
Took my dog in for grooming. My wife was running 15 min late, and I was told there would be an additional $15 fee because she was 15 min late. When she arrived, the gentleman told her he was a couple hours behind. If he was a couple hours behind, why was I charged for being late? Then they texted me at 5: 50 pm and said my dog was done and that they closed at 6pm. We live more than 20 min away so that wasn't going to happen. They were very rude and extremely disrespectful. I would not recommend the Ellisville petco to anyone.

Terrible service. Not only did we wait for a consultant for 15 minutes, they could not say anything about the product.we wanted to buy a tarantula spider, it costs 100, we wanted to know how old each of them is and where is the male and where is the female.they knew nothing, three different species under the same name, in general, absolutely incompetent employees.
They carry the cat food my 18 yr.old cat has thrived on and in the coconut oil she loves. They are the team that keeps her healthy and it is specific to my store. I have never had to give her anything but her favorite and best cat food Solid Gold. (Canned and Kibble)
