Petland Blue Springs reviews
16 Y'all help our non profit, Paws & Pals out so much!
We love your management and all your staff!
If I could give PETLAND Blue Springs zero stars. I would. I purchased a Great Dane 8 weeks this past Monday from Sem Botts one of their counselors. After a few days the dog began to vomit etc. I had taken him to my vet and was told PETLAND was the worst place I could’ve purchased a puppy; pure breed or not. Chosen was diagnosed with pneumonia and had to be hospitalized for several days; not knowing if he would make it back home. My son and I just lost his father to gun violence. Upon speaking to the shift Manager Brock who could’ve cared less if the dog lived or died continued to say call the claims/warranty number. I did. I couldn’t understand why is it this lady is yet to call back so I called PETLAND back and asked why is it taken so long for the emergency after hours care person to call back his response “it can take up to 1-3 business days. I tell you do not I repeat do not purchase a puppy for yourself and/or children here. It will only lead to devastation and financial distress. Nevertheless, I am sure the per counselor Sem had one hell of a commission check from Chosen. I am certain the conscience of the people who work for PETLAND are little to none.
When I walked in I was initially greeted with a wave of “pet store” that’s unlike any store I’ve ever been in. The one fan they have is not doing anything. The stench seemed to be coming from uncleanliness and dirty towels and/or dog beds. I struggled to the aquatic section through the odor. The neon tetras were priced 2.99 or 3 for 6.99. I attempted to offer to by 30 of them for 52.50 which would be 1.75 per fish. A fair deal since I was buying basically the entire shipment. Unfortunately they didn’t accept the offer and missed out on a for sure sale and 52+ dollars.
I don’t feel comfortable coming back and wouldn’t recommend the store.
Very unfriendly staff. Wife and I walked in no greeting. My wife asked for help and was ignored
Our dogs are getting older and we needed some pet food advice. The girl there helped and we are trying her suggestion of a new brand. Definitely helpful!
Super friendly staff, great proximity to home neighborhood. Excellent opportunities for puppies purchases. Go ahead and add a family member today!
The enclosures for the small animals.hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds were disgustingly dirty. Yellow water, dirty broken toys, if there were any at all. Sad thing was there were 2 employees on their phones, So if you want to get paid to be on your phone, work at Petland.
It was an amazing experience. Expensive but worth it. Everything they do to make sure their puppies are happy and healthy, microchipped etc…. Plus you leave with absolutely everything you could think of that a puppy needs We love our new baby Gypsy Jules
The gentleman who helped me was nice. The place was clean. But when I asked about the price of a puppy I was told $1600. Then after checking on something else with his manager I was told the price was $3900!
Really? !? That's a big difference!
Very nice people and very clean and organized. Great place to love on puppies and get feeder rats/mice.
I get feeder rats here for my ball python (he refuses frozen) since I can't find another place that has the right size, and every now and again they are out of rats, which I usually don't have a problem with because being out of something is not the store's fault.
However, they have been out for weeks now and I was told two different dates that they would get them in, only to find they're still out when I show up. I tend to call ahead since it's a bit of a drive for me, but I can't even do that now because their phone goes straight to voicemail and the inbox is full. So I'm wasting gas only to keep having a hungry snake.
I guess since they started selling puppies that costs thousands of dollars they have decided its OK to let all their fish die and not bother to remove them from aquariums where the other few living fish remain. Disgustingly strong smell of urine when you walk in the door.
Place is nice and employees are friendly. Almost everything pets need. They do tend to get a little pushy when it comes to selling puppies.
This is my favorite pet store! All the animals are very well socialized and the staff is friendly and helpful. I love going in to see the birds especially.
This store has stuff for cats, dogs, rabbits, ginneau pigs, fish, lizards, and geckos. There is stuff for any pet you could imagine along with adoption options, they had dogs, rabbits, and ginneau pigs there today! They also have free samples of dog food that you can take. At the register they even had tumblers that you could call and have your pet put on one!
Went in to get a dog harness for my Chihuahua. Sales girl was very helpful and I found the harness I needed. Total cost was $41.00 I thought this to be a little expensive, but it fit my dog so I bought it. Check the price on the Internet and they charge $10 more than other stores or on Amazon. I'm going to keep the harness, but I'm not going to go back to Petland to buy their products, especially if they keep on overcharging. The three stars is for the salesgirl.
