Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe, Kansas City MO

This is everything you would expect a gourmet sandwich shop to be and then some. There southwest chipotle chicken sandwich is a must-try and their tomato bisque soup there is some of the best I've had.

First time here. Lady had an attitude as soon as I came in. I asked for cheese and she basically told me that I couldn’t get it on my sub. I didn’t argue, I was like it’s fine whatever. Then she passed me to another guy that stared off into space for 10 minutes before finally asking what I wanted. I asked for all veggies except for avocado. When I left and was ready to eat the sub only had tomatoes and lettuce. This experience was not worth the money.

We love Pickleman's for sandwiches and soups.the basics, but good grub. Cookies are delish, too! I usually get the veggie soup and it's been a tad spicy, which I love!

This place use to be good but the experience I had yesterday was just disgusting. I had ordered take out from Pickleman’s in Westport and when I walked in to pick up my order I was so grossed out.
For starters, when we walked in one of the employees was sitting on the counter (WHERE THEY SERVE CUSTOMERS FOOD). He was just sitting on his phone and digging in his eye for boogers. I was absolutely disgusting and immediately lost my appetite. He then proceeded to be annoyed he had to put his phone down and then proceeded to touch and bag our food without washing his hands.

2. I checked to see if they had the order right and of course they didn’t. They forgot an entire sandwich so we had to stay and wait for them to prepare it. Once again the cashier just texting away sitting on the food counter.

3. We finally left and I got the courage to eat the food I paid for and noticed they forgot several ingredients of my sandwhich so had to turn around and go back to get the right sandwhich. When we called to let them know the lady argued about how she “personally made the sandwhich so she knows the extras were on there”. Which was not truly the case.

4. When we went back to had to remind the employees to wash their hands before touching the food.

Moral of the story is just stay away. I hope management will talk to their employees. This was the crew that was there on the evening of 12/27/22

I order from the Pickleman's on Westport Road in Kansas City, MO today. First, who ever delivered the food left it outside the door that opens so I had to carefully push the door so that I didn't turn it over. Then I ordered extra au jus for my sandwich and was charged for the extra but there was none in the bag. I tried calling to rectify the issue but there is no answer, it just rings and rings.

I love this place. Go there atleast once or twice a week. Get the number 9 with au jus. You'll never buy another sandwich again!

Really good food, service was a little slow with only one worker but overall good experience

Big picklemans guy. 100x fresher and tastier than subway every single time. They have the crispest crunchiest pickles of any sandwich shop. Never disappointed

No matter the time of day, the vibe is always great! Great service, fast and friendly. Late at night, the music is on point!

Was greeted by a man that was very pleasant and helpful. When it came time to check out my brother was confused on how our order was rung up so he just recalled all the things we had to make sure it was correct. The lady behind the register then proceeded to “re-enter our order” causing a significant price increase. We were confused on how it had changed when it should not have. She then proceeds to yell at us that it was right the first time and she refuses to change it back since “we made her change it the first time” when we were just double checking that she had the right items. When we questioned why this was such a big deal she proceeds to curse under her breath, pull the other customers into the conversation by saying things like “you saw me ring it in the first time right? ” (as if we forcibly made her change it when we just were asking if she had the right order), and also say things like “Lord Jesus help me deal with these people” (or something of that nature). All throughout this interaction we never once raised our tone, we remained civil and kind. All around a terrible experience that will result in us never wanting to return back to this establishment. (Shoutout to the guy who made our sandwiches who could see the bad service we were receiving, tried to step in, but then was also yelled at by this lady so he ended up just backing off from the situation)

The pandemic has changed a lot of things including restaurants. The last time I ordered my go to meal the sub was thick enough for two meals. This time it was so thick with mayo, and I could hardly find any chicken at all in the sandwhich. For almost $33.00 I just exspected what I usually get, but life as normal has changed for now. Will not be ordering from Picklemans for a looooooonnnggg time!

The food is always delicious. And delivery was quick. So nice to have a good meal delivered!

This is what eight dollars of your hard earned money gets you at places like this. Still the same ol salad game where they take advantage of people with little and lack luster quality product.

Apparently their delivery driver didn’t show up so they’re just canceling my order. They either need to figure something else out for delivery or offer some sort of discount for the meal being several hours late. Ridiculous.

This was my first time at the Westport location and they did not disappoint.from the very first moment I walked in the staff was friendly and very helpful. I order a salad, a turkey bacon sandwich, and a pizza, all the food was fresh and made to order, you can also add extra topping to and sandwich or salad im excited to go back and try the soup.overall I had a great experience and will be returning In the near future.not only that they are open till 4am on weekends so late night eats no problem. I highly recommend going to try this place i had a great experience and they definitely played a good selection of music
