I can honestly say it was the first time I've ever had a barber of all people complain about the length of my hair. I tried to laugh it off and play along and be pleasant about it, but that was received as an inconvenience. He seemed more interested in gossiping about politics with a customer in the waiting room than he was in cutting my hair. The more time he spent cutting my hair, the more obvious it became that he didn't know what he was doing, and he reacted to this obvious fact by becoming increasingly defensive and standoffish. He wanted to trim my beard too, but no way was I going to give him the opportunity to prick my neck with his scissors like he did to my ear (without apologizing, I might add). The end result was easily the worst haircut I've ever received. I tried to work with him to fix it, but he refused. "You don't want it that short. I'm not going to cut it that short, " he said. When I got home I took some scissors to it myself and cleaned up his mess, but next time I'll definitely be taking my money to a barber who can actually cut. And I know it's not just me, because my neighbor said he had a very similar experience here. Ron Pine is the worst and rudest barber ever.

The best barbers in town! You tell them what you want and they get it done. They have women and men cuts, washes, and plenty of products to choose from.

I got my first haircut from Ronnie in 1968, I was in 8th grade. Back then it was Pine and O'Dell. I've moved back to Platte City and got my haircut today from Ronnie. He's always friendly.

Great home town barbershop. $20some haircuts for all ages! Fun for the kids, there's an area with toys, candy machines, and Ron and the girls give out special candy for kids after their cuts. Rustic/historic/eclectic decor. Ron has been running this shop for years and has great hospitality! Great hometown/downtown business.

From barber to fancy stuff. Ole Ronnie has it all. Even a fancy young barber and highly experienced lady's. Some even shave ya up.on the face.

Mr Pine has been in business for many years downtown Platte City. If you're in need of a haircut or shave, this is as good of a place as any to get it done. Price is right, too
