Pinewoods Lake Campground reviews
14Very large free spots. Was a little trashed but I cleaned several spots. Please pick up after yourself or they will shut this down.
Really pretty spot, fishing could be better if you have a boat. Guess the dock is all fished out but still a beautiful place to visit.
Just stopped to fish no luck️but a very beautiful place and everyone we encountered was so friendly! Great experience restrooms were clean! Huge plus!
A wonderful free camping area provided by the national forest service. Large paved individual parking spots a lake and walking trail.
Beautiful setting; pretty loud traffic noise at night and trash is not maintained at a campground. The beautiful setting makes you forgive the negatives.
This is a great site. There are 15 paved sites, each with a picnic table, fire ring and a pole to hang a lantern. There are two vault toilets, one in the campground and the other and the day use/boat launch site. There is a paved trail along the lake. No water, dumpsters or dump site. Pack it in and pack it out.
The only negative is there are a LOT of ticks! Luckily they're easy to spot on my white dog but I have to do a tick check EVERY time he goes outside. Avoid the vegetation and you'll see a lot less. Make sure you tick-check yourself.
Might not be free for long!
We saw a notice that there may be a change in price. Free -> $15.
It has free primitive camping with picnic tables, lantern pole and fire pits. Also a decent trail around the lake and a boat ramp for non-motorized boats and a fishing dock. Bring your own water and maybe tp for vault toilets. You can hear traffic from highway that can be annoying if camping
Fantastic, loving every minute of the place. Nice and clean. Excellent walk around the lake 1.3mi.semi-level camp sites. Definitely recommend this spot!
The restrooms were pretty clean and the individual pull in sites as well. The water spigot wasn't working at the time I was there but besides that it was great. The trail going around the lake is really nice and an easy walk or mountain bike ride.
Awesome campground. Everything was well kept up, especially considering it’s a free campground.
The only negative we had was some people screaming curse words around midnight and two am. Hopefully just a one off!
You get out and walk to the lake. You can fish. They have a walking trail to get to the water
My particular visit it was a little bit windy but it was a nice quiet picnic.
A few people were bank fishing.
Clean Vault type restroom.
Hidden gem. This free camp is top notch! Recommend. Pick up your trash and respect it so everyone can come enjoy it.
