Platte City Service Center

Ken and Tim are very nice and professional. My husband and I have been taking our cars to Platte City service center for 7 years now. We trust them and know that they will do what's right for us.

Very courteous and ready to explain the work being done. I will be giving them my business moving forward.

Called down there to get a state inspection. Guy on the phone said they were open the rest of afternoon and to come down anytime. Sent my kid down to get his car inspected. They were rude and told him they didn't have anybody there to do the inspection. I probably won't go back.

Service says it includes air filter check. I've been a couple of times and no one checked the air filter. I found out later that it was nearly clogged with dirt and desperately needed replacing. Once they told me my coolant reservoir was low on fluid and asked if I wanted them to top it off. Their site says this is also included in the service so I'm not sure why they felt the need to ask. Not sure why the service is lacking. It shouldn't be that hard to do.

I was just there today, I am a comercial truck driver, and I had an air pressure problem, even though they don't deal with comercial tires or trucks they helped me and got all my tires aired to the correct specifications. I honestly can't thank them enough.

Horrible experience walk in for a tire patch. Guy says 20 minutes wait 35 minutes for a tire patch had to walk out and go somewhere else.

This place is great. Took my 2012 Escape in for inspection. Took my 2016 Edge in for a leaking tire. No problems since. The guys there are super helpful.

Ken is professional and courteous! I've been taking my 1998 Toyota Camry here for 10 years. It has 289,000 miles and keeps going because their service is great.

Let me just say I wouldn’t even give one star. Long story short I picked up a new car the dealer and I met halfway which wasn’t too far from here. The valve stem was broke at the factory. It started off slow then lost air faster and faster. I pulled in here proceeded to say I was four hours from home I needed it fixed what not. The guy said well it’s almost lunch and we are short handed you can leave it and we might be able to get it in and fix it. I went to big o which was way busier then this place ever thought about being. They had it fixed in an hour. So all summed up I’d go anywhere other then good year and if you have no other options, good luck.

Good place for Oil changes or General Maintenance. I'd be careful with a Brake job, botched it the first time, now I need New Pads less than 6 months later.

I do not recommend for these reasons:

First visit: They got done quick which was nice, but my vehicle was noticeably/significantly louder after that visit and it never resolved. Didn't care too much cuz it still ran fine otherwise and, who knows, maybe it had nothing to do with their workmanship.

Second visit: Showed up for the appointment and they said they couldn't do the work cuz it was a fleet vehicle (same vehicle as last time, same payment method, etc.) and they didn't know how to accept the payment. Just had to turn around and leave.

Waste of time that should've been avoided. Shan't be returning. Luckily, plenty of other mechanics out there.

These guys do EXCELLENT work. Never over sell or over charge. They are very friendly and remember you. I recommend them to any and everyone. My family only gets our car service and work done here. Ask for Ken or Brad, great guys!

I have gone here for the past 4 years and have always received great service. They are very trustworthy, honest and hardworking people. Even when they are busy, they make time in their day to get me in. I highly recommend them if you have any questions, or need work done on your car.

Detailed estimate, good product knowledge, and on time and fast but complete service. The final price of product and service was actually $5 less than the quote that I was given.
I would use them again.

Didn’t even make it home from platte city service center! My husband was able to take off all but 2 lug nuts from my tire with his hands!

We drove in off the interstate. They were busy, but we had a smoking tire from a locked break. They got us in. We were grateful. They kept us updated on the process and got us fixed up fast. Great service!

I work at another shop in Overland Park and one of my customers called me with concerns about their vehicle making a noise and was not far from this service center. I called to the shop to see if there was any way my customer could come in last minute to make sure her vehicle was safe to drive. Brad answered and was very professional about the matter. Brad and his crew identified the noise and realized the part wasn’t going to be delivered until later on/next day. So they kindly went out of their way to go get the part for my customer so she could get home safely that night. Talk about top notch service!
