Don’t waste your time I have lived here for about a year. I was lured in with newly renovated units and the promise of a homelike community.while the units themselves are fine, and the neighborhood is very community oriented, the handling of this complex by block multifamily and their employees nearly outweighs everything.hopefully you won’t ever have to interact with any member of the front office in any form during your stay here.i say stay because this place is not formatted for long term residents.all they want is temporary short term tenants who will lie back and won’t call them out when they break renters law or provide unlivable situations.so all you will ever do is stay here.anyways, steer way clear of the coven in the front office.laden with easily avoidable mistakes, they’ll mess up your application, your lease, and then blame their mistakes on you! If you call them out or remind them that there are laws in place that protect your legal rights, they will get downright unfriendly with you.snappy, argumentative, even aggressive over the phone.they refuse to do email interactions because they don’t want a paper trail of evidence against them.my advice to everyone who lives here: do what i’m doing and GTFO asap, and for those who have no choice but to stay, UNIONIZE! When i started having issues with block multifamily taking advantage of them being a big powerful corporation and me just being a single tenant who lives alone, i went to a tenant advocacy program that helped me tf out and affirmed my belief that what they were doing to me is illegal.that’s when they started getting hostile with me.imagine that.i’m not going down with this ship.prospective renters- prepare for bed bugs, roaches, no AC, no heat, no water, etc.and expect the complex to do nothing but the bare minimum about it! My AC wasn’t installed until late JULY in this kansas city heat.heat stroke after heat stroke.what a nightmare. RUN!

Don’t do it. These people are rude and unsympathetic. My grandpa died earlier this month and instead of giving my mom who was his caretaker until January to figure things they told her she has to be gone by next month. She even offered to pay rent for next month and they still said no. Not to mention the place was infested with roaches. And mold in the bathroom. I’m telling you don’t do it!

I fill out an application an was denied the application cost $50 an $250 deposit I paid on line they took my money automatically fast now since I was denied I don't get the application fee back I understand that but my deposit $250 they tell me they going to kut me a check in 30 days an it's been 30 days or more. Y'all watch out for these CROOKS they are still scandalous like when it was called village Green. Facts

This place doesn’t care about you! They refuse to help you, unless there is something you can use against them. They don’t take care of their properties, they hardly take care of the landscape, are slow to fix repairs, quick to raise rent, and they have horrible customer service. They used to be better, but since they got bought by corporate, it’s horrible. I can’t wait to get out.

Truly enjoy living hear. Staff are great to work with. Especially the Maintenance Staff headed by Derrick Jones Last time I needed them, they had the water leak fixed in less than 1hr after I reached out with the issue.

DONT DO IT! I know if 2 units with mold/mildew/rust from water damage that they claim painting over will fix. I know of a duplex with the same issues. The maintenance man Derrick be lying about fulfilling orders. Then the units (2 that me and a friend checked out) wasn’t cleaned upon move in, like it still had the previous residents belongings in the unit. Nor were they move in ready, one still had tile sitting on the counter top that needed to be put down. I’ve personally reached out to the manager’s supervisor and had her come look at the same spot to confirm it was water damage but they wouldn’t fix it unless it got to a point somebody could get sick.don’t let me forget to mention I couldn’t use my shower for 2 months.

Don’t do it they trick you with the updated kitchen, but don’t tell you about the violence all night long.they don’t tell you about electrical issues, safety problems & the lack of care.they want your money but don’t provide maintenance, & when they do he’s rude & complains about everything.busted door frames at move in.nobody did a walk through, broken blinds, stained carpet, leaking basements. Lack of security. The townhomes don’t stay cool during the summer even when blasting the AC. & in winter your gas bill is so high because the doors are drafty & the windows are from the 1900s.don’t bother complaining! They’ll block your number & ignore your maintenance requests.

“Luxury” wears off after about 6 months…my curtains rods have randomly fell out of the wall because of the very weak Sheetrock that’s underneath, and well as the towel rack in my bathroom. Also my tub is peeling, and I’ve never saw this before in my life. There’s also a huge pothole in the ground, that is now costing me $1700 to fix my car. There is nowhere for you to park if you do move in, but you’re promised two parkingspots. And if you park on the side of the building they threaten to towe you. I guess they’re okay with us having to walk a block to park.
