We have used this vet for over 20 years, and have loved the vets there through the years - Ebert, Baker, Cosentino. But the office staff has become intolerable the last 5 years. They are so rude over the phone and to your face. I have tolerated it because we loved our vet, but then we suddenly started getting scheduled with a new vet every time we went in. I asked about this over the phone and was told that I was supposed to request who I see. I asked, do you not keep this info on file? You do not keep track of who our vet is? The girl got louder and more rude and just kept yelling "You never requested to see her". We saw the same vet the first 5 years of my dogs life, but now I was supposed to ASK for who I wanted to see? Not given the option? When I expressed frustration at this, the staff took no responsibility, showed no customer service skills, but instead got rude, belittling and distaining. I was calling to schedule a surgery for my dog and she could not even guarantee which vet would be doing the procedure. She listed the vets on for the day available. And I stated that I would like to know who would be performing my dogs surgery. She said she didn't know. I stated I would like Dr. Baker or Cosentino. She states Dr. Baker would be on that day. I asked if he would be doing the surgery she smirked and said "You would have to request him", so I say I JUST DID? She states the schedule wasn't confirmed so she could not guarantee him! It felt like a game of run around. So unhelpful. Such a waste of time and energy.
She then thought she had hung up the phone on me and she had not. She proceeded to ridicule me to the other staff who also joined in on making fun of "such a stupid customer" for so long I hung up to quit hearing it. I was shocked - but actually no I wasn't, this is exactly what I would expect from this group of unprofessional women. This is only the latest example of what we have tolerated from this group the last few years. I could go on, but will not. I have come to dread vet appointments, and even having to make the call because I know it will be rudeness and difficulty that I encounter. Their lack of professionalism, the fact that they all seem so inconvenienced by every person who walks through the door, and that they take no responsibility for their customers and environment has finally had its toll on us. We will no longer be using Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic.

I've used Dr. Baker to take care of my horse for over 10 years. Could not ask for better care. Highly recommend Pleasant Hill Animal Clinic!

Dexter, Liam, Gene- and I can’t thank the wonderful staff and Doctors enough! The girls at the front are so sweet and welcoming! We are new to the area, and P. Hill was our first choice. We had dental done for one of our pups, nail trimmings and annual vaccines done and they did such a great job! Dog Mom is so blessed and grateful!

We took our puppies and their mom to the Pleasant Hill animal clinic just for a wellness check. They said the puppies were fine. When we went back for their shots we told them we thought one was unhealthy, they said she had allergies and she would be OK. We waited 2 weeks and noticed the same pup was losing weight. Took her to a different vet and within 30 minutes she was diagnosed as being diabetic. She passed away a week later. If she had been properly diagnosed to begin with, she could've received treatment sooner and had a better chance at survival.

I love this clinic and the vets and staff that make it all work. Dr. Patterson has been a literal lifesaver for a number of my dogs. I took my 16 y.o. Dachshund cross in as he was very sick. Willie was bleeding internally and I thought euthanasia would be our only option. But Willie came home with me and, 4 days later, he was feeling great. Thank you Dr. Patterson.
I also like the fact that the vets alternate being on call, and open the clinic to treat your animal after hours.
