Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Matthews MO

The food was great and the service. The tables were clean and they were practicing social distancing in the seating area.

Got a few chicken sandwiches and they were great service was fine and no lines when I went on a weekday evening

If you really want popeyes the places is fine. Otherwise, skip this place because the wait time has been much too long the last few times I went.

This was hands down the best tasting freshest, crispiest chicken and sides I have ever had at a truck stop restaurant. Don't let me forget to mention the biscuit was banging too! Friendly staff. Excellent job! A+

This was the BEST Popeyes I have ever eaten at. Usually, something sux at every other Popeyes. But EVERYTHING I ATE WAS DELICIOUS!

No chicken sandwich.it needs 2 hrs to thaw.ok give me spicy chicken with fries.no fries and had to wait 10 mins for the spicy chicken! No tenders either! On top of already waiting in line for 10 mins with one cashier and 5 ppl talking! Useless

They tell the customers chicken will be unfrozen at five here it is eight and it still frozen. Unacceptable won’t be back to this location ever.

Chicken classic sandwich is the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The fried chicken was excellent not like the Popeyrs near where we live. But the sides we had were not very good.

Coming from Texas going Michigan just decided to stop with Family and the Restaurant was nice, clean, Food and service were excellent.

I was really disappointed at this Popeyes. The chicken was okay but I ordered 2 three piece meals. When my cousin and I sat down to eat i realize she the sever only gave us two piece dinners. I went back to the counter to inform her of her era she apologized and said I think I did only give you 2 piece meals. At that moment her manager walked up and asked what the problem was. The young server explained, I handed the manager my receipt and she looked me up and down as if she were doubting my sincerity. She slammed 2 pieces of chicken on one of those little serving trays and rudely shoved it across the counter at me. Had I not been driving 20 hours straight and been in all european American town I would have made an issue. Instead my cousin and I got into my truck and continued driving home to New Orleans (the Original home of Popeye).

It's inside a truck stop so it more expensive than a usual store. Food is usually fresh so that's a plus.

Not one of the better restaurants I have been to. They gave me the wrong piece of chicken.
I took it back to have the order corrected. The "manager" scolded the poor cashier in front of me, then took the piece off my tray (that had left the counter already), and put it back on the fresh chicken shelf. Yeah.no thank you for the contaminated chicken!

I personally don't care for popeye's, but it is the only choice at this truckstop. If it wasn't for the young manager, this would have been a bad experience. The cashier had no clue what she was doing and the cook was upset when he had to make an order, but the manager just took over and did almost everything, she makes this a tolerable place to eat.

These kids are in desperate need of a supervisor. Mild chicken piled up on a tray under the heater. Spicy chicken on a tray but not under a heater. That's it. End of menu.
They are basically trying to discourage people from ordering food. I assume it's because it's Saturday night and they want to go home but it was 1.5 hours before closing.

It's been awhile since I've been to Popeye's Chicken but to me when you're good and hungry it's the best place to go on fried chicken I love it absolutely the best

I got butterfly shrimp and it was pretty good. The shrimp tasted great and would love to eat again but the breading was a bit under done so I peeled it off so it wouldn't hinder the flavor of the shrimp. Mashed potatoes were smooth with good tasting gravy and a amazing buttery flavored biscuit. Wasn't that crowded but still food was gotten super fast and employees were very kind.

The staff was okay. We were here about 8: 30 and they said they closed at 10. One girl was in the dining area and already had the chairs up on the tables and sweeping the floors, the chicken was in torn boxes sitting in the chicken warmer which I assume they'd already cleaned them and my husband wanted the new jambalaya bowl which the girl that took our order said they was out for the night. Not sure what time they are suppose to start their cleaning and running out of things but I believe this was entirely too early, 8: 30 a whole hour and a half early! And another thing the 2 girls, one behind the counter and the one cleaning were having a full conversation in the middle of our order being taken which i thought was very rude.

I saw a worker there pick a piece of chicken up off the floor and put it back in the chicken bin. I told her manager and she had the girl throw the whole bin away. I'm utterly disgusted. Gross

This Popeye location is more expensive than other ones and I assume they did it because of the truckers (truckers have money so we will raise the prices because they can afford it). I also assume all Popeye locations connected to a trucking center is high as well. This is wack
