Rancho Grande Cantina reviews
16They set us right next to kitchen door when there were a lot of open tables. The music was 90's pop which is weird for a Mexican food restaurant.
I ordered the lunch size taco salad ($6.49) and my companion ordered a regular taco salad ($10.49). When we got our bill, my salad came to ($11.19). When I asked the waiter why, he said it was due to the fact that I ordered sour cream on mine. (My companion ordered sour cream, as well but her bill wasn't charged for it) Made no sense to me. Wouldn't it be better to itemize the charges?
Great Mexican restaurant, their chips are hot, their salsa is tasty, and their food is great. I recommend their Burritos and Queso. If you enjoy hard drinks, their Margaritas are strong.
We have been going to rancho grande since they started in Parkville 25 years ago. But our last three visits have been horrible. We're going to find a new local business to support. This place has lost our business. The food has lost its quality and the portion size is about half of what it used to be
The food was just okay and the chips were cold and kind of stale. A mediocre experience probably will not return. Margaritas on rocks was just alcohol and syrup. Nothing too special
Come here all the time with my family, they make sure to correct any order with mistakes in it. Consider me a life long supporter!
No tip if they can’t do Curbside. Got to take small children out of car seats.
I’m not tipping just for them to put a box and sauce in a bag.
We go here at least once a week, sometimes we go twice. They have the best enchiladas and carne asada burritos. Yummmmmmmm
Server was great but the cooks can't get it right our daughter has a easy order and 3 times and can't get it right 4th time going home pathetic sorry yo say.
Poorly Dissatisfied

I had ordered Queso, add chorizo. Guacamole dip and the Chicken Chimichanga Dinner, which comes with rice and beans.
The chips and salsa were brought out when seated. The chips were kind of soggy / chewy. Did not taste fresh at all. Salsa was good.
The queso dip was extremely thick, low in flavor and very salty (which is expected with Mexican food).
Guacamole dip was served as shown. Was kind of dark in color, and did not have a good consistency. The server could tell I was displeased, took it away and brought another bowl, which was rated the same.
The Chimichanga Dinner, Chimichanga was soggy. Rice was crunchy in spots, not cooked well. Beans were probably the best thing about the dish.
I ate about 1/4 of the chimichanga. Left most of the queso, all except two chip dips of the second bowl of unsatisfactory guacamole, and rice untouched.
Server, asked if I needed any boxes as I sat the food to the side. I advised absolutely not as she picked my plates up and left. She was friendly, however not inquiring. She brought my check back and she’d take it when ready. No discussion about satisfaction.
May attempt the restaurant once again at a later time, but very dissatisfied. Definitely would not go out of my way to return, especially with other restaurants that are in the immediate area.
Let down
Kyre took care of our group today, he was very personable and on top of everything we needed. The food was good and the margaritas were great.
My very favorite Mexican cuisine! The puffy tacos are the best! The margaritas and not super sour, so delicious! Great service, ever time!
Downhill! Rancho Grande has hit bottom. Tacos dismal, pork chili salty and dry. Oh, not to mention the thick non-crisp chips. Truly a disappointment.
Great food great service plenty of room.the dinner was a little rushed this time and the fajita plate burned the rice a little but all in all very good.
I've been coming here for MANY years and I've been trying to support local businesses. I can't continue after my past 3 to-go orders have been awful. Chicken tacos with very little chicken, lots of lettuce and a few strands of cheese, my Rancho Grande Dip tasted like flour (inedible), the chimichanga wasn't cooked and like dough (inedible) and my 12 oz.margaritas turned out to be 9 ounces.
This has become our go-to Mexican joint here in the Northland. Every bit as good as the original over on 64th, and the wait is much more reasonable. Their staff are all really friendly and helpful and the food is consistently good. I have long been a fan of ground beef deep fried tacos. And this place does them really, really well. But my new holy grail is their chicken deep fried taco. Oh my! Next visit, just bring me a trough of those babies!
The chips and salsa are pretty standard fair, but I enjoy the distinct flavor of toasted cumin in their salsa. Pro tip: the hot and mild, mixed together, make a perfect medium.
You can't go wrong with any of their appetizers and I haven't ordered anything that I didn't like. Particular favorites have been the guac and Rancho Grande Dip. Some great entre options that I can personally endorse include the Plaza Burrito, the Cinco de Mayo and the Pancho Villa, chicken, of course. My husband says their fajitas are stiff competition for his favorites.
We will continue exploring this menu and will be back to let y'all know if the ride gets bumpy.
