This year they have made a lot of changes that made it very inconvenient at the local level. Now when you call what looks like a local number it automatically send you to a 800 number and you get somebody at a call Center. It’s impossible to reach anyone locally. Our trash is not being picked up on time and when they schedule re-pick ups, it’s still not being picked up on time. The customer service could care less if you quit or stay, they are not professional or polite at all. They also changed our trash service day to a day that does not work for us and to customer service agents offered to transfer me to the department that could go over options of changing the pick up day, but when I was transferred, I was told that’s not really an option and when I told them they were leaving me no choice but to find another company if they couldn’t work with me, they just said OK and have a good day so that’s exactly what we did

We bought a house and the previous owner left their trash bin. I have called Republic Services at least 3 times to come get their bin. I have left it on the curb with a giant “take” note on it. They will not take the thing away. It’s been months.
If this is an inkling of what it’s like to actually have service with them, I’m so beyond glad to be using Ozark Refuse instead.

Terrible company! We had Republic services for over a year with minimal issues except every time we turned around they raised rates. Then they stopped picking up our trash along with the rest of the neighborhood three weeks in a row. They picked up once then missed the next two weeks. We cancelled the service even though it was in the middle of our cycle. They did not refund any money. Then several weeks after we cancelled they came and picked up their bin and sent us another bill for $45 for picking up the bin without giving us the option to return ourselves. We did not pay the 45 because they haven't been providing service and we did not feel we owed them to pick up their property. They sent us to collections. There should prob be a class action suit against this company.

Worst trash service In the area!
They constantly missed pickups and then it would take them 6 days and 4 phone calls to come back and pick up.
The customer service is beyond sub par, we canceled service and autopay with them and they still managed to charge us a week later.
This company is TRASH! Pun intended

They changed day of service. My day is now Monday and today is Thursday and my trash still hasn’t been picked up. I called them and each day promise of pick up and still no service but you can believe they want their payment. This must have been rough year. A lot of miss pickup and very rude customer service

Paid for 3 months trash picked up once. The previous months bags were ripped open and left behind. This company is the worst.

Worst customer service experience in all of my life. DO NOT HIRE.
1.) Could not deliver trashcan for over 6 weeks. I had to pick it up myself or else it would have been even longer, possibly never. After they had already been paid.
2.) Numerous missed trash pick ups. In total they picked up the trash one time for having over 8 weeks of service.
3.) Republic Services cancelled their services to myself and all of my neighbors with ZERO notice. I had to hear my service had been cancelled by a person on the phone after they missed more pickups. I’m out of room on here but could continue to blow your mind about how little this company cares about professionalism, contracts, or kindness.

Why do they miss pick-ups? I don't understand. I reported a missed pick-up online, called it in too and they were supposed to be back in the middle of the week, nope! I just don't understand I thought that they had this figured out from the previous missed pick-ups. The only reason I gave them 1 star is because of the ladies in CS I speak to are really nice, other than that this company is awful and they have monopoly in the Springfield area. I haven't seen such piss poor waste management since Barone sanitation on the Sopranos.

Leaving 1 star because zero isn't an option. This is the third week they haven't picked up out trash. I speak with a rep.daily who apologizes and commits to get it the next day. Suffice to say, they don't. Anyhow, today is the day I fire them and switch. Do not recommend.

Have been told our trash cans would be here 3 different days. Now have to wait another week until pick up day for our cans to be delivered so they'll be full all week and we will have to wait until another pick up day before we can even use them again. EDIT* After waiting for 9 days only got 1 of the 2 trashcan we ordered. Just switched to this trash service and already very disappointed.

If there was an option for a 0 star I would leave it. This company is horribly ran. Once you finally get your trash bin after two months of requesting one and hours spent on the phone you’ll be lucky if they come on the day that they’re actually scheduled for. Then when they do come they’ll make sure to park the trash can in the middle of your driveway. Do not recommend. Find anyone else.

I wish I could give this business negative stars. They have no trouble charging my credit card every three months, a different amount. They do, however, seem to have trouble picking up all of my trash on time. Don’t bother calling in for a missed pick up -they don’t care. Some of the worst customer service you will ever experience will be with this company. I am currently looking for a different trash company.

Worst, and I do mean the WORST, trash service I've ever had or seen. They pick up trash when they want to and there is no consistency. They have left trash on the street after pickup multiple times. There are plenty of horror stories online. I would never recommend this service to anyone! If you can go with another trash service, do that!

I've talked to them 19 times in 3 weeks they have picked up my trash twice in the last 2 months. I've spoken with route managers, dispatch managers and i get we will be there between 1 and 6 to this day 9/22/2023 i have 2 carts still sitting out both over flowing with trash. No one there seems to care all i hear is im so sorry. Worst service from any trash company i've ever had.
