Republic Services of Bridgeton

The City of Wildwood switched to Republic starting August 1st, 2023. Republic delivered bins to our neighborhood but missed our house. The funny thing is that all of our neighbors on the street got their bins. My wife has called three times, and they promised bins by close of business today. Surprisingly, they didn't show up, and my wife had to call again. They now said Monday the bins will be here. The fantastic thing about this is that I will now have to keep my trash in my garage over the weekend. I sure bet that won't smell with all the warm weather this weekend. Thanks in advance, Republic Services! We're really excited that we're stuck with you.

After code coming by for my cans being left at the curb, because the trash company fails to pick up 1 or none of my cans, I am writing a friendly review. I pay for two cans a week. I expect the services I pay for we are contracted to have this poor service. I am done calling every week. I should be owed several.credits for my drawn out hassle.

I canceled services for my home because they kept raising prices. Went from 50 to 75, and jumped to 150 for one trash can. No recycling, just one 95 gallon trash can. I tried getting them to lower the price, they said it was because of gas prices, then when gas prices went down, they told me the government chooses the price, not them. Switched to another company. For two 95 gallon trash cans, I pay 56. I have been in contact with Republic Services since April 9th. They owe me around $330. I call and call to get my money back. They told me more than 4 times that they will send it out. They will expedite it, nothing. It's now July 12th and I have sent to receive my refund. This company is horrible. They will try and rob you blind. They will make up several excuses to steal your money. Do not hire this company for your trash.

If you want a unresponsive company, missed pick ups, and high costs, then look no further! Republic Services will leave you with all your trash and an empty wallet. Over the past year or so, my prices have almost tripled (raised rates to match other areas and a new fee was implemented). That would be fine if they picked up the trash and recycling like they are supposed to. Freqently miss picking up my trash or recycling, even with me putting it out the night prior to be cautious. Tried to rent a large dumbster to clear out debree from some yard work and some old bulky items. Paid the fee, expected it to show up on a friday, scheduled and planned with them the week prior. Nothing on delivery date or date after. Called, delayed, should be there by monday. Nothing on monday or tuesday, then it was the next friday. Canceled that request but couldn't get back the pto i used to take off work to do all the manual labor planned. They are not proactive consistently enough to let you know when they will have a delay. Stay far away from this company.

EDIT: I cannot even rely on them to close my account. Scheduled them to pick up my cans for the last time and take them with them. Never happened. Chatted them since I cannot call them after 5 pm.no requests on file. This company is a nightmare from hell in every interaction.

For the past few months our trash has not been picked up and we have to report that it was missed… Yes we paid our bill… they just somehow miss our ENTIRE STREET! This is getting very very old! I have 2 kids the trash fills fast… wish there drivers would pay more attention to their route and not miss us…

The driver (s) of Truck 2341 are rude and unprofessional. They often block driveways near the entrance of my subdivision and sit at the end of the street in a no parking zone for nearly half an hour each time they finish the subdivision, creating a much harder to navigate entrance to the subdivision and sometimes even completely blocking the street until they have to move to let cars pass. Talked kindly with one of the drivers but he was extremely unreasonable and became agitated quickly when I tried to use simple logic to reason with him and kindly asked him to not block the street. Customer service has not answered any of my calls, I emailed the only contact I could find for Republic and he has never responded in nearly two weeks.

Never had any issues with pick up or anything like that. Just looking for a reasonable solution to a simple issue!

Edit: Why has no one resolved this issue in over 6 months? 2341 are still driveway and subdivision entrance blocking and sitting in no parking zones impeding traffic. Maybe once a few more thousand people see this review someone will actually do something.

Edit 2: Still find these truck drivers blocking the road. Starting to think no one will ever solve this issues. Highly recommend avoiding this company at all costs.

Edit 3: Still issues over a year later and they have now started to drop glass in the street in front of my house.

I set up a pick up of a old screen door and came home and it was still there. This is not how you conduct business. Very disappointed. Now I got to call and get someone to come out again.

Company charges what they want not what the county has outlined in the contract I’ve been paying 3 times as much as I should since I moved to St Louis county district 6

I have had several issues with this service. This worker comes in front of my house with bags of trash on top of the truck. When it falls off, he doesn't even do his job, to come back and pick up the trash. He leaves the trash. A young disrespectful teenager on my street comes flying up from dead end of my street and runs over the trash bag. I have to get off work & clean up the mess that republic services worker created. I made a complaint. Sent the video to the supervisor. Not one follow up since this incident or several others after this one. This worker is leaving trash and it's already paid for. They have the best technology to empty the cans. But fell to realize when trash fly out the can, off the truck to community. It's there job to pick up the mess they are creating. My neighbors verify what I'm saying. Because we keep our street clean. And it's not until the Republic Services trash truck shows up. That one of their workers does something with him leaving trash on our street. So we have to pickup again & wait another week. There's no recourse for this company. The supervisor never responds. So I can see why the workers don't give a damn because the supervisor want respond to a customer that's already paid for year worth of poor service. I have no choice but to pay Republic Services. And Republic Services can't get their workers to a job, that's already paid for. And their job is cleanup messes not make them.

Terrible service for bulk trash pickup. Never did the service but changed me anyway even after multiple calls

We have had a few issues with our street being missed for recycling and trash here and there, but I would like to commend customer service rep, Sherry (hopefully I spelled that right). Every time I talk to her, she is very polite and handles the situation very well and quickly.

They are scheduled to pick up my trash and recycling on certain days I've lived at my house for 6 months and they have skipped over my house at least 14 times and I'm sick and tired of nobody knowing that the house is occupied I have at least 8 time to complain and nothing is done about it. They are rude on the phone and do not get a resolution.

It is almost comical how poor the service is with Republic. Every other week they would not pick up one or the other, recycling or trash. Canceled our service and now can not get anyone to pick up our cans. It's been a month. Call everyday and keep getting the same nonexistent service. Would not recommend to anyone. If you have other options, use them.
