Research Neurology Associates reviews
7 I had a very good first experience with this office, but everything after that day was an absolute train wreck. It took a month for the office to schedule my lumbar puncture, and afterwards I had to call and message weekly to get an answer of if they received the results. I was dealing with a concussion on top of my normal anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and still I had to basically work for them to get anything done. In the end they stopped responding to my questions and let me show up to my follow up only to tell me that we needed to do a second MRI (which I had asked about and was told not to worry about), and they couldn’t see me without the lumbar puncture results, which they still didn’t have. It took 45 minutes after I was crying in their office to get those, which tells me that the full month that I was asking and asking they could have done it in under an hour, and just didn’t bother.
I was sent home with a “you probably don’t even have MS” from the doctor. I have since seen a different neurologist who took one look at the MRI and all of the lesions there and said she is almost certain this is MS. I also found out that the lumbar puncture was incorrectly ordered (no hard evidence to point to if it was the office or the hospital that messed that up, but I have a guess after the hell that was dealing with RNA) and now I get to go through that process all over again.
Huge shoutout to the woman in charge of scheduling, I forget her name right now but she was absolutely lovely through every interaction. She is the only person who sincerely apologized for what I had gone through, and she made me feel like I was talking to a person with the capacity for human emotion, unlike the rest of the staff I interacted with.
Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. It is absolutely not worth it to try with this neurologist.
My primary doctor's office sent a referral for me to be seen at this practice. After they informed me that it had been sent (the week prior) I decided to go ahead and try to schedule an appt. What a disaster. The women who answered was rude and unprofessional. After placing me on hold multiple times, she finally found my referral in her computer. She proceeded to inform me it was from my ortho doctor who I have not seen in 4 + years. She then acted like my primary care office had made a mistake. I asked if she could locate the actual fax that they received and scanned to their computer. She stated that she didn't have time and had no idea where those go after they are scanned in. She refused to schedule me until my office sent the correct referral. I thought about this interaction and read some other reviews then decided I don't want to be seen at a place where the office staff are this incompetent. The doctors may be wonderful, but the office staff are who you must deal with when scheduling or messaging the doctor.no thank you! I will go elsewhere.
One of the worst medical offices I've ever visited, terrible handling of documents, terrible staff, terrible doctors, refuse to do their job mishandled medications will make you wait 4 months or longer to fix their problem which they won't actually fix, instead they will avoid your messages and send their PR to call you, instead of fixing the problem.
Reporting them to the ethics committee and whatever else I might need to do, all of them to lose their jobs and medical licenses shame on you all, you've done more damage than good to anyone and I hope karma serves you all justice, shame absolute shame I hope missouri shuts your offices down and fines you all until you have to leave the state to find work.
The previous reviews are correct. I have never been a patient somewhere where it was impossible to communicate with staff in between office visits. I've left messages without receiving a response. I even left a message for the office manager and she never called back! I requested my medical records to be mailed to me and I was told it was better for me to come to the office to get them since records the office has sent in the past to other patient were lost in transit? That works fine if you live close, which I don't!
I liked my doctor (Dr. Cravanas) but what good is a medical practice if the communication with the office staff is extremely poor? ! Take heed & go somewhere else if you can!
No problems with the actual doctor, but the staff at this location is a joke, I’ve never dealt with such incompetent people in my life. They will incorrectly bill you, take months to even return phone calls, and when you agree on a price, because they messed up, they will forget to bill you again on what you agreed upon, and just sent it to collections. The office manager here should 100% be fired because she doesn’t know how to do her job, she is a coward who can’t even return calls. Notice all the good reviews are from many years ago, and all the recent reviews are bad, some of whom also mention this worthless office manager.
Dr Ahmed is Best if he leaves I heard there are Great Neurologist in this office. Ahmed is my choice been with him 2008
A lot of problems. Even office manager wouldn't call me back. If you really want to get rid of your headaches, go to Kansas Pain Management. Research Neurology doesn't even have a doctor or office manager who will call you back, in addition to not even having an on call doctor. If I could rate this office a zero, I would.
