Rising Star Ranch reviews
12Toxic management. Ran in to my BLIND horse with a tractor and left her standing alone in knee deep mud for 2 hours while bleeding from a 5 inch gash.
I absolutely love the barn manager! Great place for your horses, and to meet new equestrian people! Love the pasture!
My horse was starved out out there and I ended up losing him at 12 years.if you read the boarding information on the webpage it says “round bale supplement when needed” putting ONE round bale out every couple of weeks for 60 horses in NOT enough.seems this place hasn’t changed in 10 years.this guy had no business boarding or breeding paints.
Barn manager vicki, was awful to deal with. She joked about my dad paying for my horse when I do and I told her I also bought my mare myself, and she said I shouldn’t be so defensive. Super rude. Couldn’t pay me to keep my horse there.
I’ve been at Rising Star Ranch for several years, when started leasing 2 of the barn horses, after about a year I purchased 3 of my own. I am there everyday and twice a day in bad weather. It is a true self serve barn. I pay “rent” board for the property, for my horses however just like my home, a I care for my own horses and have found the barn to be just fine. They provide hay all year round in the dry lots, paddock and pasture. There are automatic waters in all paddock and dry lots. The staff is always helpful, and repairs are made quickly to any broken fences, etc.
I Love Rising Star Ranch. It is reasonably priced, there is plenty of pasture to ride in, and many other boarders around. Not everyone would fit into a self serve barn. You treat it as though it were yours. Clean up after yourselves, muck your stalls and lots. Grain your horse, after all no one knows your horse better than you, so if it needs grain twice a day a flake of alfalfa, etc as supplement to hay bale to maintain its weight than that’s what you do. When I show up in the morning.every morning my horses great me. They are very content. I keep 2 in pasture one in lot. I enjoy every minute of my time there. The plus that everyone looks out for everyone is nice. Boarders come all throughout the day. If someone notices another horse having issues the barn manager is notified so that the owner of the horse can be contacted.
Too much money for them doing nothing. You have to go every day to take care of your horse. Don't mind that as much as them not providing any grain, hay, bedding, turning out, etc.
My friend boards her horse at this facility and i was so highly disrespected by the barn manager and Eventing trainer while i was there, that i don't feel comfortable being in or around the property anymore. Staff is rude, and would not even greet me when i smiled and said hello. My advice, Stay Away if you care about your horse and want to enjoy your time at your barn. Not to mention two horses have been put down due to property neglect this year alone. Happy trails Rising Star!
Miles and Miles of trails, professional people, awesome place to board a horse! A+ in Lee's Summit!
My horse and I love it here! The barn manager is awesome and the owner quickly fixes any problems. Perks of boarding here is also the pumpkin patch all of October:)
The owner is the real deal. He does the best he can to make this place a little piece of heaven, and he’s doing a very good job at it. Not many places like this left, so I hope to go back!
My horse was starved out, he dropped 200lbs in less than 6mo. He started mugging people at the gate b/c he wasn't being fed. Just an honest review, hate to see anyone else put their horse through such misery. My sweet boy deserved much better care but didn't get it. If the same owner is there breeding Paints, beware many better places to board.
This is a great place they are really friendly people there is a pony named Clyde and he is like are mascot
