Great space if you don't mind not having running water (they tell you this in advance!). The view is amazing and it is really safe. Also on the weekend Craig the camp host is there and he is just a treat!

I would probably never stay here again. I was very pumped up that this campground is 25 minutes from my house. But I really had so many negative experiences I probably won't come back.

This Camping park is a fairly new place. It is a small park that offers a very basic camping experience.
They are very clean and have very nice level cement slabs for your camper to be parked on. They offer a boat launch, rentable kayaks, a playground, a viewing spot overlooking the Mississippi River and they are dog friendly.
They only have electric hook ups. No water or sewer hookups on your campsite. They do however have a dump station on the property.
One big negative for me is the campsite is located right on the railroad track and there are trains running by blowing their horns throughout day and night.
Overall, it is a nice place clean place to stay.

This is the worst ramp in the area. The right lane has rebar sticking out of the ground aimed at your boat. The one boat dock has major hidden trees so that is useless too. It's free and ain't worth it.

My husband and I have been looking for somewhere close to camp for the last 20 years that is right by either the Missouri River or the Mississippi. This is our little Haven from home. It is 20 minutes away from our house, super convenient to restaurants about 10 minutes away. You have to bring your own water we bring two five-gallon jugs. It's understandable though with the river being right there and it's flooding every once in awhile why there is no water I don't have a problem with bringing my own water at all

Great place to launch a boat. St. Charles has done a lot of hard work to get this place I to shape. This place used to be a pay to launch. And it was worth it then 7-8 years ago. And now it's a huge difference and a beautiful place for boating camping and just sitting there with a line in the water relaxing.

Park with a boat ramp and access to the Mississippi river. They also have a kayak launch to paddle the Dardenne creek Blueway.

Fishing from shore is worse since they developed the park, probably because of the new riprap and removal of log habitat. People keep too many fish in the area, especially catfish and white bass.

The visible part of the river here is a side channel, the opposite shore a huge island. No barges, but you might see speedboats and luxury boats.

The kayak rental is for Dardenne Creek, not allowing them in the river channel.

Some bad experiences with parks workers: throwing rocks in the water while I tried to fish (one bounced and hit me), running loud weed whackers near people on the boat ramp, launching boards and other trash into the water.

Since development, the people visiting don't seem as bad. The times I went were on weekdays when uncrowded. Littering is still bad especially cigarettes.

They removed nearly all of the large trees. Camping in summer might be hot, probably noisy with RVs blasting air conditioning.

Riverside Landing Park is still very new without any mature tree growth. It is located right next to a train track and at back channel of the Missouri River at the mouth of Dardeene Creek. Across from the park is an island which blocks any view of the main part of the Missouri River.

There is a kids playground with equipment for them to play on. Since that is near the river, parents will need to keep an eye on their children. In any case, it's nice to get out of town and see some of the local waterways.

This is a fairly new park developed by Saint Charles county. It has electrical hook-up but no water or sewer. All the sites are paved with concrete and really level and nice. There is a table on the concrete, but the fireplace is pretty far off the concrete in the dirt. When it rains it is really muddy because the grass hasn't had time to grow yet and they did not sod it. It does have a really nice entrance to a Blueway where you can rent kayaks online and go up Dardenne Creek which I understand is pretty nice. The railroad track with fairly frequent trains is a bit of a downer.

This is a secluded little spot out of the way. What a great find! It's not busy and it's right by the water. There is also a boat ramp so I assume you can get on the water.
