Rolling Ridge Nursery Inc reviews
12Staff are all really nice. Great selection of hard to find things. Very pretty place. The only thing, is be prepared for prices. Very high prices.
Jen was so nice and the girl who rung me out was so encouraging! My friends and I told her we were new to plants and she gave us all a little pep talk about how to care for and repot them! Encourage plant lovers AND non plat lovers to stop by!
NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER! I went to buy simple product of grass seed. There was only one employee helping an elderly woman with a large order in the seed department. Even after other employees tended to the customers at the register, no additional employees came to the seed department. For 15 minutes I stood at the seed department, and not one employees even acknowledged my presence. The only thing left to do was leave. I then drove to Branneky Hardware clear across town where I was promptly greeted and services. Even though is a hardware store, they had an equal variety of seeds at lower prices.
One of my favorite nurseries to visit. Employees are always friendly and welcoming-happy to help in any way they can.
Overall plant selection is varied and always changing. Plants purchased- are healthy and thriving.
Absolutely will (and have) returned!
The cutest nursery in the area! I’ve been to them all and rolling ridge by far has the best selection and the most helpful staff.
I went here for my first time today, and spent $230 on 5 overpriced plants. But, I’m glad I did. I bought them because it was all I could afford for noticing some plants in dyer need of help. Momma roots (major roots) were coming out of the bottom of the pots. Getting them home, I knew it was an emergency saving situation, but I didn’t realize how serious it was until I took them out for replanting.
These plants are extremely miss treated and neglected. The woman I spoke with did not know the proper watering process for a few plants I asked about. Instead, she told me “you just have to get to know the plant”. Which is another way of saying she had no idea. They’re completely root wrapped to where, you must damage the momma roots in order to save it. Which, if you know plants, this is a 50/50 chance if they’ll make it after momma roots are damaged. The entire bottom was wrapped in itself with the momma roots.
These photos are just one example of a single plant and how bad it is once the curtains have been opened.
If you are a first time buyer of plants and you’re just getting into them, buying miss treated plants is not a good idea for, they may die within a month of owning them if you’re unable to save them.
This was my first time coming here and i had several workers ask me if i needed help finding anything.as i was checking out the cashier noticed the marimo moss balls i was purchasing looked a little “sad” and the container they came in wasn’t doing them any good, so she gave me a HUGE discount and only charged me for the marimo balls themselves, instead of charging me for the glass containers as well.so sweet and i will definitely be back again to buy more plant babies <3
Went looking for some dwarf boxwood for a planting project. RRN had these Korean dwarf boxwood that were bigger and fit into the plan. Chris the owner and plant specialist was very helpful answering all my questions. I would have given a 5 but the price was a little more. But the plants are strong and healthy, a trade off.
Love this place! Not only a great selection of plants, but I love that they have bulk birdseed. It's the only place I buy it from, since it's a great, plastic-free option.
Always a good experience. Love this place. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great prices and GREAT finds!
We always get top quality plants and great advice from the knowledgeable and friendly staff at Rolling Ridge
