Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup, St Peters MO

The pilot went out on my water heater. A tech came out looked that it was 10 years old and did nothing but say I needed a new one. $2800. Luckily my husband and I decided to wait and do some pricing. I called the manufacturer about parts and they told me that it may just need a vent cleaned. I was able to clean it and fix it myself. So glad i payed $99 to be told to buy a new heater

The sewer had backed up from the kitchen floor drain. The Roto-Rooter tech cleaned out the roots in the underground pipe. He did not bring his camera so I could see where the obstruction in the pipe had been. He charged me $460.00 for this simple clean out. Also he only gave me a 30 day Commercial Guarantee since it is a rental house that I own instead of the 6 month residential guarantee.

A Roto-Rooter tech returned and ran a camera through the pipe and found that a deformation of the pipe could cause blockage.

The entire process to not only clear the clog, but to come in with a full professional team to clean up and restore the damaged area was simply impressive! Thank you!

I scheduled an appt. Between 9 and 11.with three calls later and still no service.finally showing up at 4: 15 only after I asked to talk to supervisor and being disconnected.will never use again.

The technician was knowledgeable quick and nice. I think the price is a bit high but our drain is cleared

Chris was awesome! Very professional. He asked questions to assess the problem and the explained what he believed to be the issue and how he was to proceed. He used terms that were easily understood. Once the drain was cleared, he offered additional services that were available. A free camera inspection and clean up restoration estimate were what we used. Both of the agents for the estimate and camera were super as well.

Good service once they made it out to the house. But so much for 24 hours was called and told that they were done for the day and that they would get to me the next day.

I had a slow drain and some preventative work on lateral line. Nick (tech #6074) was very friendly and thorough explaining the process, rates, and findings. He arrived early within the window provided to me and was very helpful outlining the issue and solutions.

Roto Rooter is always available on the weekends and never fails to figure out the issues! They are very affordable, in this last case, came out on a Sunday, no charge! People are knowledgable and super easy to work with! Sean was great, fast, timely and fixed my house up!

I recently hired a plumber for a project in my home, and unfortunately, I had a rather frustrating experience. The main issues revolved around communication and efficiency, which left me disappointed with the overall service.

Firstly, there was a miscommunication regarding the pricing. The plumber quoted a price that I misunderstood due to unclear communication. Had he clearly stated "nine hundred seventy-five, " instead of "nine seventy-five, " the confusion could have been avoided. I even repeated the estimate “ninety seventy-five” back to him asking if that included the labor because I thought 97.5 was way too cheap but he confirmed that price. When I realized my mistake he had already done the work and I didn’t want to disrespect him by haggling the price. He was nice enough to bring it down to 750 because he could tell it was a honest mistake but it was still a very traumatizing experience.

Moreover, I had done a significant amount of preparation work before the plumber arrived, exposing all the pipes and unpacking the shower head/faucet kit. However, I was disappointed to find that most of the plumber's labor (300$+/hour) was spent "shopping" for copper pipes. I expected him to have essential supplies on hand and felt that he should have planned better for the job.

Additionally, the placement of the pipes for the faucet and shower handle was not centered. He based the placement of his work on the position of the shower drain tube/pipe (no tub present) but they were very loose and just happens to be skewed 3 inches off center. If he nudged it with his foot he would have figured out that the drain pipe was very loose. Understandable mistake, but non the less now the handle and faucet are noticeably off center and unsightly. The work itself only took around 30 minutes, but I paid for a two-hour labor service, which was mainly spent on what I remember him saying was a shopping errand.

Overall, I believe that if the plumber had communicated better and been more organized, my experience would have been much better. While the end result was functional, the journey there was disappointing. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback and helps others make informed decisions when choosing a plumbing service.

He was responsive to my questions and very responsive to my 6.5 yr old grandson. As personable as he is, Nick is a good, professional technician. The water is flowing and the drains are draining, as they should.
