Saint Louis Art Museum reviews
14One of my favorite places in STL. It's amazing this is free! Features many great collections and always has excellent special exhibits. I get inspired and happy every time I visit!
Always a great experience here. You can spend all day here if you want, or you could make it through the entire building in like 1-2 hours if you hurry. They change some of the displays periodically, but there are some galleries/rooms that have been the same for years. Personally, I don't recommend this museum for young children (we left our toddler with his grandparents), simply because the little ones get bored and there is a lot of very expensive, breakable art.
Beautiful museum filled with lots of different art from across the world and across the ages. We spent several hours and still didn't walk through the entire museum. If you love art, this is definitely a museum to tour.
Excellent * free* museum, beautiful grounds and patios, right up hill from the STL zoo. World class collection: great post modern and expressionist collections, sculpture, ancient Greek relics, Asian art, and cool furniture and costume galleries. *special exhibits free on Fridays, free parking lot across from museum and also a pay parking garage attached if you can't find a street spot.
My son's wedding reception was at the museum the weekend of October 30th. It was an exquisite venue, exceptional attentive service by the staff beautiful paintings all around us. Dancing among the art work was magical!
One of the best employers in the area. Guest are wonderful and it's a pleasure helping out around here.
Free museum. Something for everyone. Sculpture, paintings, photography, furniture. Really nice exhibit on architectural photographs.
A brief, but wonderful visit to the Saint Louis Art Museum. So great to see the special exhibit. I loved seeing the photographs of Wash U Art Professor and Photographer, Jennifer Colten! Her pieces were hung on the final wall of the exhibit?
The colors were so vibrant and I love that they were in different seasons. So interesting to think about what's under the surface.in the mounds and in life.that causes us to be curious and engage with our story (history)!
These are the things I believe are important.curiosity with compassion is the new way I choose to live my life with myself and others! It has given me strength and passion
Nice to see museums offer free admission, encouraging people to discover and learn. Nice varied collection with something for everyone's taste.
I've always loved coming to the St. Louis Art Museum for the 27 years I've lived in St. Louis.
It is a very beautiful. Has a lot of beautiful art. I want to go back when I have more time.
We went to pick up some unique Christmas gifts at the museum store. We were not disappointed.
We stayed to view their "Art Along the Rivers" exhibition, a real eclectic collection.
The Saint Louis Art Museum is one of the principal U. S. art museums, with paintings, sculptures, cultural objects, and ancient masterpieces from all corners of the world. Its three-story building stands in Forest Park in St. Louis, Missouri, where it is visited by up to a half million people every year. Admission is free through a subsidy from the cultural tax district for St. Louis City and County. (Wikipedia)
Also be sure to visit the park where it is located. Pay attention to the parking, there is a paid underground car park and 2 small ones in front free of charge (places can be difficult)

Não deixe de visitar também o parque onde ele está localizado. Atenção com o estacionamento, tem um subterrâneo que é pago e outros 2 pequenos a frente gratuitos (vagas podem ser difíceis)
Extraordinary setting and architecture! What a gem! The pride of St Louis! I felt like I was in Europe.the lake or pond In front of the museum looked like it belonged in Versailles. Then, one enters and it has such a wide range of art. I have seen many art Museums. Each one specializes of course in different collections. Max Beckmann is a German painter that I believe that SLAM (St Louis Art Museum) has the largest collection of in the world. His paintings are allegorical and historical. He used such vibrant eye catching colors. It was a joy to see. I loved learning about him and studying the paintings available to see here. So many quality works. Anyways, just come early to be able to enjoy everything. I came at 12 and at 5 it closed. I only saw the 1st and second floor. There was a third I was unable to even take the stairs up to.
