Some co-workers and I went here for dinner last night. We were greeted by a friendly staff and had a wonderful server named Fantasia. She was super friendly, fun and was joking around with us. The Sushi rolls here are quite a bit larger than any other place I’ve gone in recent years. The orientation of the plates are very nice as well. The sushi and staff was top notch here and I highly recommend it. This place is very police/first responder friendly.

Switched over to Sakae after our go to went downhill. This is definitely our new go to in the Northland

At Sakae Sushi I sat at the sushi bar and had some of the best sushi rolls I've ever had the pleasure of eating, and I've tried sushi all over the country. A place I will definitely go back to!

I wish they could bring out my food as fast as when they ask me to pay. Sitting here almost an hour didn’t get our food and the table came later than us already got theirs.

A delicious sushi restaurant on the eastside of Parkville. The sushi rolls are constantly good with quality ingredients. I recommend trying whatever the chef special is that day. The chef specials are always interesting and a tasty surprise. You can never go wrong with their happy hour either. There is a nice mixture of specialty, classic rolls, and appetizers included with the special. Simply put, the happy hour special is a steal of a deal! Honestly, the entire menu is a bargain. The staff is on top of their game and very courteous/friendly. It's the place to go for sushi on the eastside of Parkville, that's for sure!

We got there 10 min before closing and they didn't act upset at all. We ordered sushi to go and it was really good. We will definitely be back.

First time here and have to say very very pleased with the sushi here. Great staff and you can tell the food is all fresh and you can tell they know what they are doing.

My husband and I dined inside today for lunch. I will not be eating here again based on what I observed occurring by the kitchen staff behind the sushi line as well as my server. The chefs behind the sushi line were wearing masks, but consistently touched them with their gloved hands while preparing sushi rolls. They also took their masks off in between making rolls and shared a bowl of something behind the line. They were eating this with their bare hands while leaning against the sushi line. I never saw them wash their hands once. The sink was in my plain view the entire time. One guy even appeared to have dropped a piece on the floor and picked it back up and ate it. After one chef prepared my sushi roll to be fried in the back, the other chef (whom kept touching his mask) grabbed the roll with his bare unwashed ungloved hand and took it to the back. Then came back up front to restock the fish with his same unwashed ungloved bare hands. The server refilled our water glasses by touching the pitcher onto our glass when pouring. Talk about cross contamination! I did not drink any of my water after that. Which I thought was my only safe item.

This is one of the best places to go to for Sushi in KC, and it's pretty unknown, respectively. Everything is very fresh. I find a lot of sushi in KC is served a little warm for my palate and I never experience this with Sakae. They serve good portions, as well. They are very kind. They are practicing COVID guidelines well. There is accessible parking, entrance, and restrooms. The last time I went they were just doing curbside, I'm not sure if they're serving dine-in, again, yet.

Best place for sushi! Not even 2 maybe 3 minutes after being seated we had our side dishes hot and steamy. Then when the sushi came it was amazing! We ordered 3 different types, mine was the rainbow. Very flavorful! If you're a big fan of sushi, as I am, you must try this place. Guaranteed a hit!

Unfortunately not the best experience. Ambiance and service were the only good qualities about this visit. Nigiri was not fresh and tasted heavily of some kind of chemical substance. The ahi poke taco was a total mess aside from the taste. Had the lemon drop and spider rolls. Very bland and the rice was undercooked.also ordered onion soup, which was chicken broth with onion scallions and mushrooms on top. The soup was the best part of the meal.

My husband and I won’t be back: (
