Ron and Maggie are the best stylists in the game! I’ve been a client of theirs for over 20 years and Maggie has been my go-to Hairy Glam Mother for every special moment in my life. There is a reason why Salon Sophia has thrived for 30 years on the Plaza. Maggie always goes above and beyond to make sure I look like a million bucks! I’ve been beyond impressed with their professionalism and strict social distancing protocol during this pandemic. During my recent hair appointment, Maggie wore a mask and a shield and made sure I was the only person in there for 85% of my appointment, I felt so safe and taken care of. I highly recommend Salon Sophia on the Country Club Plaza.

I wish I could give this salon a million stars. As a client who honestly came in expecting a regular coloring experience, I walked out in happy tears with a heart full of warmth from just the conversations alone. Sophia’s father, hence the name Salon Sophia, worked with me within my budget to be able to walk out extremely confident and a person who is going to rave on Yelp, reviews, and any other place to tell you to COME TO SALON SOPHIA. Their kindness, vibes, culture, and attitude towards making you feel even more beautiful than when you walked in is unmatched at any other salon. I walked in with very botched hair, and I walked out with the best haircut, color, and salon experience ever. All I can say is please go and I promise you will leave as happy as I just did. I have been going to Ron at Salon Sophia for 15 years, Ron and the other hairdressers are awesome! I came in this am for a cut and color- they were concerned about a customer who claims to have “difficult hair”. They asked her to come into the salon for a consultation to determine if they could help her, she angrily refused to come in and then left the review below.so sad. I appreciate a business who professionally asks for a consultation prior to “over promising a service”. I certainly hope this woman gets the service she deserves!

If I could give this fabulous salon 6 stars, I would! Super professionals who really understand hair and also provide a great customer experience. I wouldn’t get my hair done anyplace else!

I'm almost 50 yo and have been going to Salon Sophia since high school. Maggie and Ron never age, by the way. I have always left feeling so great about my hair. They really know what they are doing. My teenagers refuse to go to anyone else. From keratin treatment to color to fabulous cuts and styles, they do an amazing job every time. They are also some of the most friendly people you'll every meet. P. S. I lived in Portland for 13 years and was never able to find someone who could do hair as well as they do.

Horrible experience. Do your research on this salon - the pictures of their work should give you red flags.
UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER’S RESPONSE: Maggie is literally lying; lying in her response below. I was never a no show for a consultation - I never had a consultation scheduled. I had an appointment on a Saturday and Maggie called me to cancel with very little notice. When I spoke with her on the phone the Saturday of which my appointment was scheduled, I told her I was in shock she would cancel with such short notice as I had rescheduled plans with friends to make the appointment she cancelled. Subsequently, I looked at pictures of online pictures of their work, and it’s horrible. I’m sorry, but I’m being honest, anyone thinking of going to this salon should evaluate pictures of their work, you don’t need to take my word for it. I also think there is something to be said about a business owner who is a liar.

She was able to get me in super last minute and gave me exactly what I wanted. Great conversation too!
