In celebration of #ginweek we stopped by for a preparty a few nights ago and celebrated with Natasha @thegingirl at Salve. Patio Vibes! It was so nice outside.

Drinks we tried: Grumpy Pilot, the Grass is Greener, the Summer Garden and an off menu rose empress gin drink!

The chef, Matt Wynn is awesome.let's get into the food.

Shrimps
Patatas Bravas
Olives
Bruschetta
Tagliatelle

Oh and then Heather has to get dessert because the skinniest person always gets dessert! S'mores Cake

Adding to this review from their new brunch launch which is excellent!

The bar area/Gin Room is especially pretty. Their cocktails are great. The Alpine Negroni is, imo, the perfect fall cocktail.

The food had big hits and a couple misses. Meatballs, white beans dip, and scallops were absolutely delicious. The cannoli cheesecake was wonderful. The pork chop was good. Nothing special. The polenta was clumpy, dry, and sad.

The real bummer was that we had a great server, super attentive and gave great insight into the menu. And then she just disappeared. Like we didn't even see her in the dining area for a half hr. Finally had a chance to get her attn to order dessert and somehow the cheesecake took another 30 min? We had to ask someone else for the check, but she was real quick then. So. Kind of a spoiled end to the night.

I'd go back for the drinks, shared plates, and the bar area environment. And the neighborhood. Prob not for the entrees.

Really nice restaurant near tower grove park. The food was fantastic but pricey for what you get. We sat on the patio and thought is was a little small and the chairs are not the most comfortable. The gin room has some very well put together cocktails, but is also pricey.

I can't say enoigh about this place. Food is delicious and the chef is A1. Never had better sauces and small plates. Fresh hand rolled pasta daily. The Gin Room is still there since Hamish retired and Cafe Natasha closed with Tasha and chef husband changing to Italian Fusion. Same great staff. You won't be disappointed.

This was my fav of my trip in STL. I had the arancini - what needs to be said- but the green pepper light, fresh sauce took it to an even higher level. Peak bliss. I don't usually like burrata always served cold, but the burrata with heirloom tomatoes, melon, and herbs on sourdough was unlike anything else I've had.
For my entrée I had the papparadelle, and it was amazing pasta.
The drinks are unique and delicious (if strong), and the ambiance was a fit for me. Overall, this would be my top recommendation for STL I've tried.

Had a late night snack and night cap here, tried the watermelon, arancini, bruschetta, carrots, and panna cotta. The food was absolutely perfect paired with a couple gin cocktails and Devin and Tim really took care of us. So happy to experience the new concept in this beautiful space, especially when they are obviously knocking it out of the park. Will be back for mains and more negronis! MWAH!

Both food and drinks featured unexpected yet delightful layers of flavors. A great addition to Grand.

Salve Osteria opened in May 2022 and it's just as great as it was day 1 as it is a year later. If you have been lucky enough to get reservations, you already know.

Bring a group and order as many dishes as you can handle. We ordered more than we intended after seeing the food served around us. Gorgeous platings and generous portions.

-Roasted beets with tasty kumquat peels
-Salve Caesar totally unique
-Lamb Arancini with a crazy good yogurt and sweet date sauce
-Ravioli stuffed with chicken like what you wanted your grandma's chicken noodle soup to taste like.

They also have a packed cocktail menu, especially since sharing a space with Natasha's Gin Room. We ordered the Mediterranean Night gin and tonic and was pleasantly surprised as a someone that doesn't normally drink gin. They'll help you find the drink that works best for you. There's a gin for everyone, you just haven't found it yet.

Cannot wait to have dinner on their patio this spring and summer!

Food and drinks were delicious (and I’m not a gin drinker). Service was impeccable and friendly. Definitely on the go to list from now on.

Had an amazing anniversary meal on the patio, along with some especially delicious cocktails. They were so good that it prompted me to deliver a separate tip to the gentlemen at the bar.

Colocated with the Gin Room. Wonderful cocktails. Menu is small but very delicious (and will frequently change) and "harvest based". Looking forward to returning. Staff was very friendly and attentive.

Salve is incredible. Everything on the menu was to die for and I can tell there was a lot of thought put into each and every dish because it came through in the experience

Food was excellent! One of my best meals in St Louis. We had the meatballs, bean puree and olives for appetizers. A lamb pasta dish, among others, for entrees. Excellent cocktails beforehand.

We (a group of 4) had dinner at Salve Osteria last night. We had dined here once before and enjoyed it but last night’s dinner was fantastic! We started with delicious cocktails and shared the white bean dip, olives, and the meatballs. All were delicious especially the bean dip. My friend and I both had the cavatelli with lamb. We agreed that it was among the best things we’ve ever eaten! A wonderful evening and we’ll definitely be back again.

Really enjoyed our first dinner here. Food and drinks were fantastic. Cocktail menu is as expected, curated and expansive. Food menu is small but well considered. Food was insanely good. They have desserts and an amaro cart that provide a lovely finish to your evening. So happy to have this familiar space reopened as something new and absolutely delicious. We will be back here again and again.

We were super excited to try this restaurant as we have heard many great things. For the positives: super creative cocktails and good pappardelle. On the other hand it took us half an hour to be seated even with a reservation and over and hour from our reservation time to be helped by a server. The lamb orecchiette was too thick, tough, and difficult to chew unlike traditional handmade orecchiette with the lamb lacking flavor.

Wonderful service, tasty dishes and cocktails. Reasonably priced. What else can you ask for?
