Sandstone Heights reviews
2Absolutely horribly management. Maintenance comes unannounced to fix things we didn’t even put a work order in, but hasn’t come to fix the issue we DID put a work order in weeks ago. Maintenance has also left a mess in my apartment 3 different times. I have to ask them to look 2-3x for my packages that get delivered to the office because they have no mail system and they constantly try to say they didn’t receive the packages (they did, but misplaced them). They have no real lunch schedule so good luck getting ahold of them any time near noon. Incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful.
This property had a high employee turnover of managers while I lived there. I was there a little over 2 years and they probably had a new manager about every 6 months.
I had really bad electrical problems in my apartment where the power kept going out in half the unit, and they kept coming in and 'fixing' it, but never really fixed the problem or called an electrician. It went out more than a dozen times, for days at a time, and I troubleshooted until I found a faulty outlet when I was moving out. The power went out again when I was moving. I told them about it, but they still didn't listen, and just charged me a bunch of money for lightbulbs because they thought I was just sitting in the dark with 'broken' light bulbs in the fixtures, I guess?
I had many issues where strange men would pound on my door at night and try to jam their keys in the lock, which was terrifying.
To their credit, my exterior door lock was janky and sometimes would freeze up and not open for anything but a master key, and every time that happened emergency maintenance came out to let me in, and they replaced the lock. I moved out when they wanted to increase my rent by over $100/mo for a studio, and I couldn't justify it with all the electical issues.
The people working were typically nice and helpful, but ineffectual to fix the major structural problems going on, which was really frustrating. I think it's just a TLC problem as much as anything.
