The first door seemed amazingly fast on the repair and I was happy. However, I interestingly that the door next to it was noticeably not working when we went to use it the next day. We were able to rig it while waiting for a replacement for several months and that replacement was still not correct, had a wrong panel. So another month or more went past waiting for the corrected panel.they came out but then realized they brought the wrong replacement- so still waiting. (They brought a opener to install for the originally replaced door too, but since it had taken so long found I could get one with a security camera & wifi for much less, still waiting on the refund for the opener that I asked them to take back, I'm told the paperwork is still on the owners desk)

We have been using this company for the past 27 years. They are honest, reliable and quick to show up if an emergency occurs.

My garage door wouldn’t open and they couldn’t squeeze me in. Fair enough, I understand they are busy. However, they told me they could send someone over to open it that day. Without disclosing it ahead of time, they charged me $40. When I called to complain they acted like I should have known. No. You tell the customer up front what it’s going to cost.

Door I had installed is excellent quality, works as it should and installed correctly. Customer service is lacking though. The installers didn’t show twice, never called to say they weren’t coming. I had to call the store myself to reschedule. My toolbox was also damaged during the install. When I called the store to notify them of the issue they said they would ask the installers and call me back, never received a call back.

Hired to replace door gasket. They arrived on time after confirming by phone arrival time. Completely professional and courteous, Price was discussed before service, no surprises. As part of the service, they did some preventive maintenance on door and resolved my problem of neighbourhood units triggering my door. This was unexpect and way beyond expectations. Would unreservedly recommend for sale or service.

I have called the number posted here 3-4 times in the past year or so to buy garage doors, openers and other products for different projects, or to at least get a quote. I have had to leave a message each time, and nobody has ever called me back, unfortunately. Time to try a different company.

I contracted out a single 9x7 garage door to this company. After they requested the old door to be removed and additional framing done, a month had gone by. They left a clients door opening uncovered and never heard back from the installers or the office. I understand everyone is busy, and this is not a big job to them. But the job was left unfinished, multiple excuses made, and I ultimately finished the work without receiving any compensation on the overall bill.

Follow up 2 months later and the cable on the tension spring came loose. Once again, I decided to fix this myself rather than wasting the client, myself, and this company’s time waiting for an answer. I don’t care about the warranty on door. I work for a company with over 1300 clients. They will be considering sources else where for garage door needs. The pictures show what we were left with. Thanks

I called at 11 am. A team came out at 1230 and were gone by 140. I had a broken spring. The team replaced the spring and turned up the door moving parts. Ran so smooth. Also, they showed me where my door was bucking and popping. Installed a piece of material and popping and bucking was gone. Schaefer Door was fantastic to work with getting the spring replaced on my single garage door. They came out the same day I called to measure, then came back later to install. I spent maybe 10 mins calling and working with the guys when they came, whole replacement took 15 mins. Extremely pleased with the service, quality of work, and pricing.

The doors are nice, but the customer service leaves much to be desired. Would not use this company again or recommend.

We originally were booked to have our spring on our garage door fixed by another company but the guy kept cancelling on us. Our garage door broke late on a Friday (6: 00 PM). The team at Schaefer promptly answered our call and sent a team. By 10: 00 we had a new door! First class operation.

Schaefer is incredible. I pulled up to my garage at lunch to see my cables fall to the floor in my garage as my torsion spring broke. I parked outside, called Schaefer, and they were here in a half an hour to get spring measurement and size details. They were back shortly after with a replacement spring and my door was broken maybe three hours total. The guys who repaired my door were professional and all business.
They were about the fastest repair guys I have ever seen do anything.
Highly recommend them.
