Great shop for anyone looking to build models or grab the tools they need to do so, not to mention everything else they have. Some of the best prices on gunpla in the St. Louis area too.
Decent place but ordered some RC parts and although they didn’t have me prepay they claimed they would call me in a few days when it arrived but after two weeks I returned and asked about the parts as I shopped for something else and their response was “did we call you and tell you it was in” (he seemed annoyed that I asked) anywho I never got that call and I won’t bother to ask again nor order something that’s not in stock I will search ebay/amazon, other than that gentleman I mentioned earlier the rest of the staff is helpful and welcoming
Ive been going to Schaefer's all my life, starting back in the day, on Meramec and Virgina! And of course, this visit was fun, as usual. And found far more than I was looking for, as usual! There is a reason that have been around as long as they have!

Every time I go in there, they don't have train magazines and for some reason, they have refused to order the Walther's catalog.
This is a well established store. They have a plethora of models, toys and craft items. However, I do wish they would expand the cross stitch Kits and items for that craft. I love the friendliness and attentive employees though
Schaefer's is a great, well established craft store with a large variety of products available. Models, jewelry making supplies, beads, stamping supplies, doll making, clock making plus a great deal more. They have a website which should cover what I missed. Call before you go as they will do their best to help you.

Friendly staff, lots of rc inventory and other hobbies as well. Seems like there is something for all hobby interests in this store!
They have the best local bead selection. And a vast selection of other arts and craft supplies. Schaefers and all the helpful and kind people who work there have helped me grow so much as a jewelry artist over the last 10 years! They are willing to help. I love when I can shop here.
