Scotland County Hospital, Memphis MO

I drove my cousin to the Emergency Room last weekend, after he took a ricochet from a shotgun pellet while rabbit hunting. One pellet entered above his left eye 1" above. The Dr. On duty had no idea what he was doing in my opinion. I had blood all over my hands from trying to stop my cousins bleeding and he tells me to grab the lidocaine liquid, I explain to him that my hands are not sterile and I'm not a medical professional. He still insists that I hold the bottle of lidocaine and he sticks the needle in. That's just the beginning. Very unprofessional

My great aunt sat in the emergency room for 6 to 8 hours waiting to see a doctor and be put in a room the first time she went this past week. They sent her home then she had to go back because the problem wasn’t fixed and again she sat in the emergency room waiting for at least 8 hours. There was no reason it should have taken this long and we have had problems with several other members of the family as well when coming to this hospital. When they sent her on to a much larger hospital we got services right away. Was not pleased with how she was treated.

I took my son here as a walk in patient and everyone was in the Christmas spirit and very happy and helpful. He got the help he needed and we got lots of friendly education and advice from well trained, caring medical professionals. I would recommend this place to anyone in need of medical assistance.
