The Screenland is hands-down my favorite theater in KC! Friendly staff, comfy seats, a rotating list of local and national beers, good eats, and a KILLER selection of movies, new and old. They also bring in fun festivals and watch-party events, like the nostalgic SNICK night or the upcoming Panic Fest. Beats a chain theater any day of the week! 5 BAGS OF POPCORN!

Best theater in the KC Metro. Great bar. Reasonably prices food. Great movie selection and environment.

This theater is a hoot. A throwback to the old days plus liquor. Small theaters, very kitchy, very intimate. We've never had a problem finding a good seat. We enjoy people watching as it attracts a very eclectic group of patrons. Off the beaten track. Very Urban and worth it if you like that kind of thing. The eats and treats and booze are reasonably priced for that kind of venue. Highly recommended.

It feels good to support a vintage, local movie theater. We saw the new Batman at the Screenland theater. I didn't know about the small size of the theater, but I don't hate it. It's just a different viewing experience. They might think about upgrading their sound system. The sound is adequate, but when I go to a movie theater I want to be blown away by the sound system. I'm sure top notch sound systems cost an arm and a leg. The seats are comfortable, however I would advise not sitting in the next to last row because there is not as much legroom in the last row and the dumb kid behind me kept kicking my seat throughout the two and a half hour plus running time. Me Scotch-Irish blood was a boilin' by the time it was over I tell ya! The food is good, the employees are friendly and helpful, and of course the atmosphere is awesome. We live in Lenexa, so it's a bit of a trick fighting city traffic to get there, but I think it is worthwhile to encourage the continuing operation of such an outstanding cultural and historical landmark.

If you want a nice local theatre this is the place to go. Nice selection of beers, food, and movies. I'm not entirely sure if they still do it but they were allowing people to rent out a theatre with your own movie to watch for great gatherings.

A great alternative to the megaplex! Comfortable seating and top notch projection, combined with a great beer selection and real food, make for a much classier movie going experience.

I've been here once and I already love it. Independent movie theaters are the best. Screenland Armour is right up there with the New Beverly in LA, the Frida in Orange County, and Alamo Drafthouse in Texas.

It's a fine little theater. Small and medium sized theater rooms make for an intimate viewing experience. It has a healthy variety of eclectic options. And the full bar helps when it's "her" turn to pick the movie.

Great theater nice size. Good food considering it's a theater. Prices aren't outrageous. Seats are nice. Will be back if I'm in the area. Great place to screen your film that's what we did there. Thanks for being nice enough to screen our movie VY at your beautiful establishment.

Id really like to see the Lord of the Rings there, but they have a triple feature for the same day, and don't sell each movie separate. I think it would have been better if they did a 3 day showing, rather than a 9.5 hour marathon. Would love to be there, but don't want to spend all day in a theater. Try again for a Friday, Saturday, Sunday showing, please! You'd get more people coming!

Love this place! Saw a late night showing of Licorice Pizza and loved the little theater we were in.

Worst person in the world, more like worst theater in the world.

I joke but seriously, Screenland has some of the worst audiences of any theater in KC. Talking, loud guests, people constantly getting up and walking in and out of the theater, right in front of the screen. If you want to actually enjoy your time at the theater then you might consider looking elsewhere. Maybe you can get away with that behavior in a big box theater but in the small theater like Screenland it just kills the mood.

It is a real pain, because with the closure of the Tivoli a few years ago and Alamo leaving, Screenland is one of the only theaters in the city that runs a slate of arthouse features. And the rest of their programing is some of the best in the city. Often they are the only place to catch an imported film or small release. I just wish they would start taking the atmosphere of their theater more seriously.

I am sure I will keep coming to Screenland, there is just nowhere else to see some of these movies and I love what is up on the screen, I just wish I could love anything else about the experience.

Eclectic theater that shows movies you usually don't see at major chains like AMC. Good tap list of beers. I wish they did an intermission so I could grab another beer, or do some sort of text your order thing in. I'm not looking for table service, but a way to get another drink without disturbing everyone by walking up and down the aisles. Small complaint, everything else was good. No more Heinekens secreted in the purse like the old days.

Thank you for the perfect pandemic birthday experience. We appreciated the food and drink options and the accommodations for timing and movie selection.
