I certainly would not buy at auction from Selkirk again. Sheisty practices regarding my purchase.the least of which was that the online photograph did not accurately represent the item, which is likely worth about half of what I paid for it. Customer service lacking down each avenue. Additionally, the business does not ship in house and it's a pain to find a shipper.

Always something interesting to bid on. My wife and I have found some lovely treasures. Pleasant staff.

I love the professionals at Selkirks. They are always helpful if I am looking for a particular item as well as being extremely knowledgable about the items. I couldn't be happier with my purchases at Selkirks.

I just picked up 5 pieces from Selkirk. One was a wing chair described as being leather. It was vinyl. Sorry, but being a "high end" auction house I would expect them to know the difference between what was clearly vinyl and leather. I also purchased a set of Aves china. It was listed in the catalog as red Aves which I already own. The china that I picked up was pink. A totally different china then what was advertised. Again, I relied upon Selkirk to know what they were selling. My mistake.

I recently bid on a Sam Gilliam "Orange Slice" and it was a great experience working with Selkirk Auctioneers. I contacted them in advance of the auction for more information about the piece, and follow the auction in real time on video as I became the winning bid on what has been my most significant acquisition to date. I give them my highest recommendation and look forward to working with them in the future. The follow up post sale was particularly excellent.

WORST AUCTION HOUSE. BUYERS BEWARE. STAFF IS EXTREMELY NASTY AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I bought a vase and was to busy to collect so after 2 weeks.they claimed they donated my vase to goodwill. THEY STOLE MY VASE. I would be very careful buying from here.
