5Quite place to eat my Casey's pizza. Okay place to get away. There are a few picnic tables under big a covered concrete patio. A kinda a cool view of Platte River. Giant anchor from the USS Platte.
This was a nice unexpected little park to remember veterans. There is a cannon, an anchor, and some information up front. Just a slight walk down the path takes you to a nice big gazebo overlooking the river. We did get some bug bites when we walked off the sidewalk, so I'd suggest some bug spray if you intend to do that. There is no playground equipment.
Nice park like setting for a special site. Conveniently located, yet off the beaten track. Nice location for a picnic or get-together.
Platte City is a great small town! Settlers Crossing is a tribute to the military. This town loves Vets.
