The staff is ok but the nurses did attempt to make me take my roommates meds a few times. The Doctors are awful and being locked up without visitors was the worst. These goofy Doctors are just in it for the green backs and they don't care If something happens to you. My doctor thought it was best to keep me uninformed during my treatment and the social worker would never communicate. Worst care hands down.

I’ve been thinking a lot about whether to leave a review or not, but now that my care is complete, I feel it’s important to share my experience. I was in the evening IOP group here March-April 2021 and there was a male therapist running the group temporarily for the evening and he stated that “women should be able to pick up on signs that they are about to be assaulted and be able to prevent their assaults from happening”. I and other group members were re-traumatized by this incorrect and offensive statement. I have come to find out, that therapist will now be running the evening group permanently - even after his statement was reported to the Director of Outpatient Services by me and other members of the group that were present.

I think anyone with experience with assault should be aware that the man running the evening group is not someone to be trusted with your mental health.

Edited to add: I was called by the director on 5/14/2021 to let me know that the therapist that was the issue is no longer with the company.

I can’t really express how much it means to my life, the chance you took on letting me be there. You literally changed the direction of my life in more ways than one. In my mind I was done-for, Prior to Valor. But all of the stuff that led me to here, cannot only be unlearned, but healed from in such powerful/transforming ways. Like taking off a 100+ pound rucksack and being free to run again, but now stronger. It’s all possible. It’s an ongoing practice. We are exactly where we need to be, as crazy as that sounds, to grow and heal. Freedom exist and it’s all here. Signature Valor Recovery Alumni

Signature Psychiatric saved my life! The intake process was very smooth. Questions where asked about my health with interest and intent to help. The intake nurse was kind and helpful. When the nurse came back into the room after calling the doctor, she let me know that I was going to be admitted for my safety. The process began with being seen by the doctor upon entering the unit. My vitals were checked, my belongings that could cause any type of harm to myself were taken and safely locked away. My history was taken by the doctor who listened, asked questions and let me ask questions. After the intake process I was shown around the unit and to my room. The days I spent there were full of activities catering to helping me become a better version of myself. I made some friend's along the way. The nurse's and tech's checked on me often and genuinely cared about how I was feeling and how I was progressing. The group activities were engaging. The social worker who ran the group activities kept spirits high. I knew I wasn't alone in my journey as I listened to others share their stories. I met one-on-one with a social worker and a doctor every other day. I felt encouraged to speak my mind without fear. The medications I was on before being admitted were all changed. I am happy to say I am still on these medications and doing well! Everyone I encountered was kind, caring and helpful. I never once felt like just a number, I felt like a patient under great care. I was discharged a week later with a great safety plan in place. I went on to intensive outpatient treatment and participated in TMS. These processes changed my outlook on life and helped me through some of the darkest times. I would recommend Signature Psychiatric to anyone.

My initial experience at Signature in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) showed me the drastic differences hospitals can provide after a not-so-pleasant experience in Houston, TX.

The group therapy offered in PHP and twice weekly visits with a psychiatrist resulted in finding my forever psychiatrist: Dr. Barash. Dr. Barash is honest and frank. The combination of medicine he's prescribed with healthy coping strategies has changed my life.

I'm grateful every day for life. I owe this to my experiences at Signature and relationship with Dr. Barash. The team at Signature has seen me at my worst and helped me be my best.

I have recommended Signature to my friends in need, and I will continue to do so in the future.

I cannot say enough positive things about Signature Behavior Health and their team of physicians and staff. Through my inpatient stay, IOP and beyond, everyone I encountered cared about me and my overall well-being. I also cannot say enough kind words about Dr. Brian Barash. As a patient of his for 11 years, Dr. Barash has demonstrated his expertise in caring for my mental health needs. He listens, is supportive and truly cares about what is best for me and my situation. I highly recommend Signature Behavioral Health and the team at Comprehensive Psychiatric Associates.

This staff was amazing. My friend felt heard, safe and cared for. My call with Emily put us at ease and everyone was waiting on us when we arrived. We walked in to meet Ivta who was gentle and kind to Garland who was attentive and calming. Marta and Katie listened and empathized in a very anxious situation. Everyone was so professional with great care. My friend felt safe. Thank you Signature for making the process of getting help easier.

I had a really bad mental reaction to a medication i was prescribed and decided to check myself into this hospital. After repeatedly telling them it was because of a bad medication they gave me all sorts of diagnoses and made me feel even worse. I never once saw a psychiatrist but was prescribed MORE medication that gave me seizures and they refused to let me off of it. When i stopped taking all of the meds i was imensley better but they told me i was crazy and tried to force me into inpatient care. I did meet some amazing people while was there but none of them were staff. I do not suggest this place for any young adult or anyone who is in a vulnerable state. If i had not advocated for myself im sure they would have put me in intenive inpatient treatment of which i did not need. I feel like i wasted money and it made my mental heath terrible until i got out

Came out the hospital just recently and just found out I had lice. But safe protection, okay staff, bad service, and they don’t give you the right medication, always get mixed up.

Three years ago, my parent was admitted to this location. They received inpatient treatment. One day during treatment I received a random phone call, it was one of the patients that was in the facility saying that my parent had left. Literally my parent up and left the facility, was able to call a taxi and leave during her inpatient treatment.

This year I brought my parent here. I was there for THREE hours. We saw two different people, essentially asking the same questions. To mention the process was immensely stressful for me, it did not make the experience pleasant, as from the moment I had walked in, the staff was less than friendly. At the end, they told us that they didn’t have any space and that they wouldn’t admit her if they did, as well as some legality in it about guardenship that we had over her. Virtually the doors are accessible in the front building. I had to keep an eye out for my parent who would slink around and wonder in and out of the building. The front desk lady practically had her eyes glued to her desk. For someone who works front desk in a facility like that, I expected her to have some more awareness.

Less than 24 hours from this visit, my parent was sent to the ER and admitted to the hospital for inpatient treatment in Liberty at their signature health. Ultimately, I couldn’t be more disappointed with the SH at NKC Hospital. Next time I know where I will be going, and it will not be here.

DO NOT bring your loved ones here! It is nothing but a money pit. They didn’t care about any of their patients while i was in there. I felt like nothing but a number. They are now suing me during a pandemic and i have to go to court for something that i STILL can’t afford to pay. I told them that when i was in there and i asked repeatedly to leave. I have never been sued in my life! They main thing that put me in there was my stress about money! Thank you signature for making things worse for people and NEVER making things better!

To give it to you straight STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL. I stayed here in hopes of getting better, however the stay was a little useless. It got to a point where the staff was making it worse. The nurses were awful and cared very little about the well-being of the patients. A few of them were great but most of them honestly should have been admitted themselves. One nurse I made sure to remember messed up 5 people's medication. Mine included. Her name was Tina and the only reason I'm posting this is because MESSING UP MY MEDICATIONS WAS THE LAST STRAW. She gave me some med I wasn't prescribed and I started to hallucinate. I asked her for my emergency med because I literally felt so nervous to the point where I thought I was dying. She told me to "practice my breathing exercises" as if panic attacks aren't a real thing. It took me hyperventilating and having my eyes roll back into my head for her to do anything. FIRE. HER. I won't speak for the others who had their meds messed up but you will just have to believe me when I say she messed up other people's medications as well. No outside air what-so-ever for 10 days. Wouldn't get my morning meds until late as noon sometimes. (most) Nurses were rude and have no business treating sick people. Yeah that's all I can really say, it's like a prison that you have to pay for. Sickening.
The movie Unsane does a good job at portraying places like this one.

I called to make an appointment as a new patient. Without doing an evaluation they tried to upsell me into a long term committal so they could make MORE money. When i told them that was unneccessary they sent the police to my home

DO NOT USE THEM. ITS LIKE WORKING WITH A CAR SALESMAN WITH THE UPSELLS ONLY IF YOU SAY NO TO THESE GUYS THEY SEND THE POLICE AFTER YOU

Poorly run. As a family member you cannot talk to psychiatrist. When you tell them that certain medications do not work and you do not want that family member on them they threaten family member with a hold. Then when they release they stand over you and tell you to do a review of how they did. So guess what reviews they always get.

GARBAGE experience. Came here looking for help, was instantly treated as a dangerous, threatening person as they locked away all of my belongings and wouldn't tell me why. Made to wait 2 whole hours, only spent a maximum of 20 minutes talking to staff.

So I'm posting publicly to do away with some of the stigma associated with mental health issues. I am an ex EMT-Paramedic and had a panic attack that almost exactly mimicked a heart attack. Long story short, later that week spent 4 hours doing evaluation and wanted me to do 5 day a week 6 hours a day counseling for months and keep my job or pay my insurance how? Couldnt do any other programs because that's what was recommended? Better to turn me away than figure it out. Horrible place!

They promised to pay for the ambulance ride to the Liberty location. Now the ambulance company is coming at me for payment. Almost 900 dollars. The admissions lady said and I quote "Don't worry, we will pay for the ambulance, because we don't have a empty bed for you here. We will eat that bill. " Don't not use Signature. They lie. They will screw you.

DO NOT EVER EVER let them put you in the Signature Liberty hospital unless you just need a place to land for a bit. There is nothing helpful about the groups. I NEVER got to sit down and talk to a therapist in an entire’s week time. The bed had a rickety old thin mattress. Should I go on, really?

My 7-day stay reset me back to my normal - after more than two years of crippling anxiety and depression.
