Silver Springs Apartments, Springfield MO

I rarely write bad reviews, but this place has created so much stress and frustration throughout the process. I have to say the benefits first before I start making a bad review. The price is decent for a two bed one half bath, it is close to OTC, and I got my deposit back. The reason why I lived there throughout school was the easy commute, that’s it… When I moved I wasn’t expecting top quality, but I wasn’t expecting dirty either. I was greeted with pet hair all over my apartment floors during the move in and the smell of ammonia. The wood floors were sticky, the bathtub needing to be redone, and the cabinets having large bite marks from previous tenants pets. The apartment honestly looked like it was never once cleaned before my move in process. When I was shown my new apartment the lady had all the windows up in the middle of December during our tour so we couldn’t smell the scent of the apartment… after I put in a bunch of work orders it took them a while to get through them. While me and my family did the majority of cleaning, I had to have a place to live. After the move in process I was trying to get into our mail box but the key did not work. It took a month to get maintenance to get done with my mailbox. There were other little maintenance issues but I could write a 10 page paper about that… The other issue was noise complaints and location. After my first year where I finally got used to everything and everything was calming down my neighbor would blast music bass boosted 24/7 practically all the time. Screaming fights would happen all the time outside on the porch. After I reported it multiple times barely anything was done about it. It finally got to the point once I graduated OTC where it just wasn’t safe at all anymore and I had to move. I truly regret ever moving to this apartment.

Just moved in to my apartment. They did a HALF WAY job at getting it move in ready. I signed my lease MONTHS in advance. They had plenty of time and still left the walls and baseboard dirty and broken, with scuffs, marks, dirt and paint chips. Animal damage on the bathroom vanity cabinet, window screens broken, thermostat batteries were not replaced. Etc.

Hey to anyone who might be looking for a place to live i had basically given up until i called Silver Springs and the girls who work in the office invited me to come talk with them and I was very impressed how these girls treated me from day one they are kind, compassionate they are so helpful they are awesome

This place was awful. They over charge for utilities, I lived alone the whole time I rented with them and I was being charged an obscene amount for water. The move out process was just as bad and I was charged $500 for paint. Do not rent from this place they do not care for their tenants and over charge.

In all honestly probably a 3.5 to a 4 star rating. Since moving in back in June last year we have had very little problems. Currently have an issue with our AC unit but it’s being worked on and maintenance was able to come look at it quickly. Just waiting for the actual repair person. The area is nice and quiet but can be scary when dark with some of the people walking around. Other than that we have issues with our downstairs neighbors but it doesn’t really change what I think. It really is a good home and enough space for my boyfriend, me, and our two cats.
