It's been a while since I had my teeth beautifully straightened by Dr. Hansen. Smile doctors treated me like their most important patient when I had an issue with my permanent retainer. They exceeded my expectations. My daughter also had her invisalign there. I fully recommend Smile Doctors! The stick to their schedules so you don't wait forever and have the nicest people in the office. They are the best!

I felt like I was in an assembly line, instead of a patient receiving individualized/personal care. Don't get me wrong, the staff is friendly, in a fast food kinda of way (in and out, hi/bye.see ya next time).

I was never told I had a tongue thrust which was causing my teeth to continually shift and extend care. I did the research and told them. I was never told that the risk factor for tooth decay is heightened with braces. Now that I think of it, it makes sense. But I expect my caregiver to talk to me about these things. Especially when the decay is happening and they see it!

I stopped care after three years. My teeth are in terrible shape! I take responsibility for my part in not wearing the rubberbands all the time. I cannot believe I paid over $5000 to correct a few gaps and an open bite and now I have visible black triangles (Google it).

I hate my smile. It's worse than before I started treatment. Healthcare is not what it used to be. We pay for care that we must research and suggest a diagnosis/solution to the "professionals. " If anyone reads this, be your own advocate, research, ask questions, definitely ask if there's decay. Mine was not visible until the braces were off. It was not discussed with me but written in my notes as the reason my results were not as promised.

My regular dentist kept putting off my deep clean/descaling because the braces were supposed to be off last year. Perhaps that would have helped too. All I know is I have rotten teeth and I never want to smile again!

Shop around and find an orthodontist, not a braces factory/mill. You owe it to yourself to receive personalized dental care.from someone who makes you feel like a patient and not NEXT!
