South County Nursing Home, Arnold MO

First off they shouldn’t even get any stars they should be shut down. They place looks like a prison from the outside with the barbed wire fence. The “front desk” is like an old school desk that someone sits at, it smells like pee as soon as you get past the double doors, the rooms are a joke and they put two people in each room. All the rooms were dark and small. There were fly traps just hanging from the ceiling in the kitchen. I was so disturbed by the facility and staff I would never put a family member in there. I can’t believe how some people have the audacity to put their loved one in such a gross place. I felt like I was in the Bates motel.

My sister has lived at South County Nursing Home for years.
They have always treated her well.
She has what she needs.
Not excellent, but works well with her needs and issues.

This nursing home is good place to work where they work with you on schedules and availability and give good care with a sense of belonging to a big family

South county nursing home has alot of long term employees who are deticaded to there job I'm one and enjoy coming to work residents look forward to

I absolutely love working here residents are treated like family, rooms are kept clean housekeeping cleans floors several times a day residents bedding is changed daily the cook does a fantastic job making sure food is great they have resident meetings every month to talk with residents and make sure there needs are met I adore the residents and they adore it here to.good job south county nursing home keep up the good work!

I like working here the employees are extremely nice, The residents are nice as well. It is great for living and working.

I have dealt with a lot of healthcare staff in the course of taking care of mom. This was a place I felt she would be looked after by people who saw her as a person, not a patient. There was always someone there to answer my questions and mom loved being able to play bingo with a group like she used to. Can't thank everyone enough, especially Susan.

I have been working here for 23 years and love it all the residents have become family it's a very peaceful place lots of good food and activities

I have worked for Susan for over 13 years. This is a great place to work and to bring family here. My grandmother in law was here for years before she passed. Staff is caring for our residents.

Susan is a wonderful boss an she has built a team that truly cares about our members and employees. I love working for South County Manor when I walk in the building in the morning the members greet me with "good morning" and with smile on their faces.
