South Springfield License Office

This is the best DMV I’ve ever been to! Everyone I have talked to has been very kind. I was just in at the end of the day during the COVID-19 disruption and it was a positive experience!

Had my wallet stolen this morning. I waited for an hour in the rain with my CoVId mask on to get inside to take care of getting a replacement driver’s license. I Went in today with the exact same documents I used to get my Real ID 4 months ago only to be told that these were no longer valid. Tall man with long brunette hair waited on me and kept asking me for other forms of iD as I explained that no, my wallet was stolen and all I had were these documents. I had two pieces of mail, but he’s telling me that one of the pieces of mail that worked 4 months ago (still in 2020) wouldn’t work today. I had my birth certificate and social security card, my marriage license, etc. When I asked if I could just get a regular drivers license then he said I would have to “reapply” for the real ID (in my mind, duh?) I tell him that I understand and he continues to ask me for two forms of mail. At this point I’m getting frustrated because i don’t know why he’s still harping on the mail when I’ve already told him a regular driver’s license will work. He then asks me for my social security number of which I hand him my Social Security card and he then tells me that if I continue being rude then I can leave. I finally raise my voice and say, “I’m not being rude, I’m having a bad day! ” He then stacks up my documents and tells me to leave and never return. Well, dude. I will never return and I hope you lose your job because as a customer service rep, you suck at it. There are more deserving people out there that would appreciate their customers better.

In this time of pandemic this location was very helpful to get me registered for the things I needed to take care of. The wate seemed about normal just waiting in car instead of outside.

Rude and condescending. Completely unorganized for processing people during covid. They do not even follow their own instructions that they posted on line.

Made a 45min drive to the DMV and got there 15 minutes before they closed and they wouldn't let me in

I had bad experience at Glenstone office. So, I had to go here. This was easy, breezy. (The state of Missouri damn near want the identity of your children to license a vehicle). After not licensing a vehicle n this state n many years, I knew it was gonna be a an issue. There was one. The staff here was so helpful. Customer service here is the best.

First, wanted to say that the new Real ID licensing process can be a real pain so have all your ducks in a row to do it. But this office is very quick and efficient with all your licensing needs. So much so that I didn't have to wait any time I've been there. I was impressed!

This DMV is streamlined and efficient! I had all of my paperwork and was in and out in 7 minutes! The teller had me laughing the whole time and was so pleasant! Best DMV experience ever!

The best DMV I have ever experienced. They are efficient, polite, and very considerate. Amber was very helpful with renewing my driver's license.

They make it so difficult to be legal it's no wonder there are so many illegal drivers on the road. I hate to say it but its true. When you only have one day off a week and have to drive all over town just to get your new motorcycle tagged and update your license. Something that should only take maybe an hour has taken my entire day off.

I love this location! The staff is friendly and helpful. I used to go to the DMV on Glenstone, but after several encounters with a rude, hateful, red headed, female employee, I decided to give this location a try. I had a great experience and highly recommend the South Springfield License Office!:)

I came in at 9: 30 AM. The lady with the rose tattoos is very friendly and got me in and out within 5 minutes.

Fast and easy! This is the only DMV I will go to now. I have never had a problem coming here. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I loved the staff at this one versus the one in Camdenton Missouri. I had gotten in to an argument with the woman in Camdenton. Went to this one and got taken care of right away now my wife is going here to take care of her vehicle needs.

Best location and staff Springfield has ever had in a license office. Fast and friendly! Its such a WONDERFUL change from the normal DMV atmosphere. Hope they keep it up!

Moved here from another state (Kentucky), and the differences between the two are polar opposites. The staff was less than helpful, the automated number system is confusing for first time users, and kept stalling, necessitating a reluctant staff member to get involved. I gave one extra star for their being open until 7pm.

I cant even begin to Express how grateful I am for this DMV. As we all know DMVs can be a couple hrs wait. However I was in and out in 20 minutes and that was for a new ID and new Tags. This place runs like a new car I loved it!

Decent service. Number machine sucks they need a different system. Does not answer the phone. I guess the people who come in are more important.
