This was my third procedure at SIG. Every experience confirms a professional, highly-organized, and well-run organization. Highly recommend.

I have had nothing but decent experiences with doctor Weinstock, however, I was referred to Dr. Banerjee for a hemorrhoid banding procedure. I was told it would be a relatively painless procedure. I was in so much pain I nearly lost consciousness and was yelping and crying throughout the entire thing. Afterwards, Dr. Banerjee spent no time explaining the after care or anything. He rushed out the door and I was left with a nurse who seemed inconvenienced by my crying from the amount of pain I was still in. I could barely make it out the door. Quite honestly I felt mistreated and used. I was just left crying on the blood stained paper seat cover. I didn’t know how long the pain would last and was told only to take Tylenol. I felt an intense pinching feeling in my lower half and had a pain that shot straight down to my feet. This lasted for over 24 hours. I really do not think it is a procedure that normally traumatizes people to this degree. Really, really unfortunate, considering I have had such good luck with my actual doctor, Leonard Weinstock.

Dr. Fern is the kindest Dr! I felt so nervous for my procedure before entering the building but his staff and Dr. Fern put me at ease and so comfortable! He truly values you and treats you like a friend and makes you feel cared about! I will recommend all of my friends and family members to go to Dr. Fern! And the facility was so nice and the staff was all great too! I paid out of pocket to go there and would do it again!

The staff was very courteous. I received a follow up call to be sure I was doing ok. Very nice. Dr. Steven Fern was thorough and kind. The entire facility was clean and very efficiently run. Very pleasant experience.

Every person in this office is just wonderful. Can't remember the last time I was made to feel so comfortable. Also very efficient every step along the way. So glad my pcp referred me to Dr. Fern all those years ago.

Dr Fern was wonderful. But I’m not sure about the way the procedure office is run. I felt a little like a piece of meat on a conveyor belt.

The entire staff of Specialist in Gastroenterology is committed to making the patient as comfortable as possible and making sure that the patient leaves with all their questions answered and also uses follow up calls to make sure the patient is still doing well. I would recommend SIG to any of my friends who are in search of a specialist in Gastroenterology and want to be treated with the respect and care they need.

Always very welcoming, on time and thorough. I never feel rushed and they take their time to listen.

I have been to this office for many years and have never had a bad experience. Everyone here is very professional and caring. I thank God to have been sent here by my primary care doctor!

FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! One of the most disorganized experiences of care I have ever received. I was first connected with SIG while admitted at MO Bap for a partial obstruction. One SIG doc said I immediately needed surgery while the other said the exact opposite just minutes later. Their PA sent a stop order for my ongoing Remicade treatment without my consent, and I am now 10 weeks removed from the treatment I desperately needed. Despite completely ruining my care plan, they were impossible to schedule follow ups with. I was not able to get a follow up colonoscopy until almost a month after my hospital stay, and I am STILL unable to get a regular follow up appointment with them. Right before my colonoscopy, I told the doctor that the PA sent an order to stop my Remicade infusions, and he got upset and flustered because he wasn’t briefed on that. How the hell do you not communicate with your own physicians assistant? And why would you allow that to happen under your watch? Now I have to go through prior authorization with my insurance to get back on Remicade and I was just denied! So yeah, basically SIG played a defining role in making my health and overall quality of life 10 times worse. Whole-heartedly do not recommend.

I have had several procedures done over the years and the staff have always been wonderful. My most recent experience in trying to schedule a new appointment was terrible. Both people I spoke with were not only very difficult to understand, but the connection was even worse. I think they have out-sourced their scheduling to someone on the moon?

I'm not sure what happened with the staff. My first few appointments were good. Then I've been getting the run around with appointments being cancelled.

The doctors are good. I’ve been with them for twenty years. But I’m tired of the consistent rudeness and disrespect from his staff. They are consistently unprofessional and rude about scheduling appointments, their app and more. I go to them once every 2-3 years and they are rude and mean about their app. I appreciate the desire for businesses to be efficient but it’s important the people who are IN the business recognize their patients are not. People have hundreds of apps. And when it’s used once every couple years it’s easy to forget.

Great experience Friendly, listens well to every detail I did not feel rushed at all during my appointment and at the end made me feel at ease. I highly recommend Dr Banerjee
