Springfield / Route 66 KOA Holiday reviews
19Only did a drive thru tour. Small KOA. Might consider that good or bad. Tent only camping is on grass. Not too keen on that. Campgrounds look clean.
Very nice and tidy. Everyone is so friendly, showers and bathrooms very nice and clean. A great place to stay.
People make the park. This park has great people. They make sure you are happy and the park is nice and well maintained!
Stayed just one night on our way through. Staff very friendly and helpful, park was clean. Loved all the trees, close to several places to see and do. Yes trains do go through there a lot but I honestly didn't notice any after 11 until a certain time in the morning and I can't hold that against the park since they have no control over trains. We would stay there again if ever in the area.
Very friendly staff who were incredibly helpful even when I gave them a call after hours.
I’ve had issues with tent sites at other KOAs not having much room to stay or even park your vehicle, but that isn’t the case here. The tent sites at this location had TONS of room. Loved the public kitchen as well!
Only complaint is that the bathrooms definitely needed cleaning. Floors were very dirty causing a nasty smell, and the drains need to be cleaned out with a little drain cleaner because they were stinking too.
We love this Koa. Lots of trees but they keep it well maintained. Lots of amenities and the staff was very accommodating to us when we thought we might need to stay some extra night because we had something break on our RV. We hope to stay here again!
Great little campground, cute park for the kids. Laundry facility is so much cleaner than other places, and the staff is very helpful. The train is very tolerable, it's a cute thing for kids too, we would make the Choo Choo sound with the train And had fun with it. We have stayed at places before where the camper shakes from trains. Ha! This was nothing. I'm also happy with the price, not crazy like some koas we have come across.
Can't wait to visit again!
Nice weekend, came for Springfield pow wow. Very clean campground. Friendly, helpful staff. Great pizza, wings. After dinner plans fell through, called near closing time hoping for food. Staff was great, got fresh hot pizza and wings. Really enjoyable with cold rain that evening! Thanks.
This place is awesome the people here are friendly and always willing to help, near by shops and located in a perfect location, restroom/showers always clean and stocked and build a new playground and other activities for the kids.
I wasn't staying here myself, I was visiting my sister. The only negative that I'm aware of is that there's an active train track nearby and trains pass pretty regularly. Otherwise it's a super cute spot!
The gentleman in the office was awesome! We definitely will come back! The whole stay was a pleasant experience!
Great KOA, super friendly staff, beautiful park with tons of grass, shady trees, lots of Route 66 touches. Pool is big and clean, games in a large grass area out front, everything is super clean, pizza delivery to your trailer. Kids loved riding their bikes.
Overall a nice and quiet place to stay. A lot of area for activities and games, but the restrooms were dark and outdated.
Beautiful campground. The staff was very accommodating. Would highly recommend the patio site so much room.
Lovely place to stay. On a long road trip and was able to get in here at the last second. The office person was extremely nice and helpful. (I wish I could remember her name). I love how they lead you to your spot as it removes stress from the end of the journey. The showers are clean and the park immaculate. If you are lucky and watch at dusk, you will get to see fireflies. Don't miss the Battlefield site south of here.
Springfield KOA
I want to apologize. I posted a poor review on your KOA in error. Our stay at your place was great. The pool was nice.
Your staff was kind too and my kids loved your game room too.
The place is great, and beautiful. The bed was in severe need of updating, I was very concerned I might break it.
The part that really made it rough for us was the train horns all night. They are super loud and go by every hour or two all night long. If you need sleep, probably get a different place. If you are a heavy sleeper or don't mind train horns, this place is great.
We have enjoyed this campground. Stayed here while in transition moving. Staff friendly and helpful, facilities clean. Toilets could use replacing due to rust but they were clean. Plenty of trees and good facilities for pets. Train noise is a thing but not too annoying. A great experience. Would recommend for families and everything in between.
