Springfield Ave Café, Bolivar MO

With prices going up I was concerned at first but the portions were impressive and our waitress, Alana, was great! Her quick service & kindness, even when she was super busy, is hard to come by. We have never had a bad experience at Springfield Avenue Cafe.

My kids and I love Springfield Avenue Cafe. This is our go to place on Sundays for breakfast. The kids love the funny face pancakes and my favorite is the Eggs your way breakfast with sausage links and biscuits and gravy that I HAVE to share with the kids. While we wait for our breakfast, they try to beat me at tic tac toe. The service is amazing and the food is delicious.

Lots of food with our order! Loved the cinnamon swirl bread French Toast! Cook needs to learn how to scramble eggs though! You don't cook the eggs then chop them up and call it scrambled! You have to scramble the eggs while they are cooking!

My husband and I were in Bolivar and we wanted to try this restaurant Springfield Ava Cafe and it was horrible it was not real it took way too long for us to sit there and barely have any coffee no service whatsoever they were so darn busy with short staff and not real food if you enjoy not real food and sit down kind of a breakfast and this place is for you but it is not for people like me and people who enjoy real food lower your prices but more people in and get real food not this plastic bag bio generated plastic food fake food sick of places that have fake food we need to get rid of them hurting the people who have real food and serve real food

It's not a bad place. You can't really go wrong for breakfast, unless you get the steak & eggs. The steak was so bland, I asked for A-1 sauce. The service is above average.

Overall, a decent small town diner.

I went to this little restaurant and I don't live anywhere near there. We had just sat down and ordered and just as they were bringing our food all hell broke loose. A serious tornado warning hit everyone's phone and the little town. Quarter size hail started and we wanted to save the cars but by the time we got half way to the casr we were getting beat down by golf ball size hail. 4 of us left the restaurant and our kids were going nuts. Instead of worrying about keeping the doors locked or getting sued they opened the doors and let us come in to a safe place. They talked to our kids, they gave us towels and they were very nice and helpful. This was a dangerous tornado and hail storm and they did the right thing without thinking twice. I would be honored to spend my money here, the food was great and most importabtl all the employees were great people. There is nothing negative about this place that could be written and even more important the people that are employed and own the Cafe. Thank you so much to all of them.

I absolutely love this place! The food is so good and the prices are very reasonable. The fruit was fresh, the food came out hot and the server was on point. I would recommend going here. I'm gonna go back very soon! They have a variety so never the same twice in a row. Go and try it!

OMG! Who knew I would have to travel from Florida to Bolivar, MO to get the best fried chicken I ever ate! If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and eat here! It is the BEST!

My wife and I finally had a chance to check this place out. Very nice inside. Very clean and well-maintained. We started with a beef, white bean, and barley soup which was absolutely delicious. I had the eggs Benedict. One of the best I’ve ever had. Eggs were perfectly cooked, the hollandaise was savory, and the ham was juicy and sweet. At the recommendation of the server, my wife had the fried walleye. Which was also perfectly cooked, and the beer batter was great. I highly recommend eating the walleye with some malt vinegar, as it really helps to bring out the natural sweetness of the fish. Portions are generous and we got leftovers to take home. Naturally, as a married couple, we tried each other’s meals and both enjoyed everything very much. Lauren was our server. She was super helpful being that we had lots of questions and it was our first time there. She was available and attentive, but not invasive. Some of the best service I have had in a long time, considering our industry is really struggling with finding quality help. I can say that as somebody who works in the industry myself. Lauren is definitely a keeper. I have an entrepreneurial eye, and I can tell you the owners really know The business. There were a few details I noticed, even down to the TVs advertising their food and desserts. Definitely some business intelligence here. Cannot wait to come back and try the liver and onions and the rest of the menu.

Love this place. I always order the same thing.roast beef and Mashed Potatoes with the daily veggie. I get my daughter the berry French toast. Although this is my favorite, they have so many great meals, and it's enough to get you full. I order online and pick it up since I live in Humansville, and every online order you get a free loaf of their homemade cinnamon swirl bread. But you have to remind them to give it to you. Lol

The food from here always tastes great and they give you large portion sized. Their crepes are super good and are never burnt. Their service is great and out of the few years I've been going there, I've never been disappointed

3 of us ordered cashew chicken. The portions were evidently different. You would think serving at the same table, servings would be the same. Sauce was ok. Don't recall having many cashews.

Never had a bad meal at Springfield Ave. Cafe. This last time I ordered Prime Rib, not knowing what to expect, since it's not a specialty of theirs. It was AWEsome. Hubby loved his Smashburger! We split a piece of peach pie for desert and that was also very good. Waitresses are always nice and friendly. What more can you ask for?

Food was a great country breakfast at a reasonable price. Huge, hearty, hot, and delicious. The staff was very friendly. Bathroom clean and well stocked. Happy I made the decision to stop in this morning

Service is great, the workers are very kind. The food is great as well! I got the chicken BLT, and it tasted great, same with the fries that came with it. Would love to eat here again next time I visit.

My family and I used to love this place. The service and quality of food has went down hill. At one time I had it rated 5 stars but came back to change my review after recent times we came in. Plenty of other places in town that I will go to instead. If your not a local regular they make sure you know it. From the owners to the servers.

Our server left on a delivery and no one ever came back. Empty drinks and rock hard biscuits for breakfast. Will not return
