DOG OWNERS AND EMPLOYEES BEWARE: Dangerous Boarding Conidtions
Allowed 50 dogs has 70.
Management has a dangerous work environment and conditions with safety issues.
Staff are treated without integrity, and respect.
Staff overworked without other support staff sometimes working 70 dogs by themselves.
The manager is irresponsible on requiring vaccinations.
If you have experienced these issues, please contact the local authorities.
Misti Fry is not the owner she is the manager.
The owner live out of town 100’s of miles away. Misti is a pathological liar.

They rotate through staff every couple of weeks. Doesn't give the dogs much feeling of security. Have ask when dropping off if they have plenty of room. Was told yes. In fact, they were over the limit. Will not use them again.

As a business owner with a crazy schedule it has been hands down the best experience with SideKick for years. They accommodate, communicate well and always take GREAT care of my high energy pup. Misti, Seyward and staff are pure class. Would give 10 stars if I could!

I have used Sidekick for daycare, boarding, and training with my golden retriever. Our beginner adult class really helped us with our high energy dog. They broke things down well and gave us homework to do each week. He’s been much easier for us to work with at home.

However, if you also have a high energy dog, I wouldn’t not recommend them for boarding and daycare. This is my personal experience, but I notice my dog does much better in a larger group because they’re more likely to have personalities as big as his.

I’ve picked him up from boarding before where he was not allowed to play in small groups because of his temperament. This was not communicated with me until I picked him up, I would have gotten him sooner had I known. He’s also come home from daycare with energy he didn’t get out during the day and it just feels like money not well spent.

I’m grateful for the help during his class, but we‘ve found a replacement in Springfield for daycare that better suits our needs with group play and communication.

My dog loves daycare at Sidekick! He gets excited entering the parking lot and is worn out by the end of the day. The staff is personable and always happy to see him!

My dog had a great first day at SideKick! She's asleep at my feet now because she got such great exercise today. The staff were friendly and helpful over the phone, and my dog - who is a 1 year old rescue with a lot of anxiety - seems to have had a great time. Sidekick emailed me photos in the afternoon with an update, too. Looking forward to continuing to use Sidekick for my dog's daycare needs and am excited to learn more about the training they offer, too, as my vet recommended them!

Wonderful all around. From the staff who assisted on the phone to the ones who took her in and back out with a report and even pictures of her day! Will be back!

Mixed reviews on Side Kick but hopefully these were just one off experiences I had. After getting a Basset puppy in Jan 22 I enrolled in the puppy class with teacher Emily and had a great experience. After that I decided it was a good idea to keep him socialized so he began to go to daycare a few times a week and we enrolled in a scent work class. Unfortunately during the first scent work class he was bitten by another dog. I already have a reactive dog so I was apprehensive of letting him go back and asked the instructor if there was an option for a refund or if the credits could be moved to daycare. It was strongly suggested that I return for a second class so we did. The class was restructured to where the dogs were not put in close proximity again and things did go better. Unfortunately between the second and third class my dog got kennel cough. Since he only went to daycare, class and home my guess was daycare even though vaccinations are required. I know this is a chance you take with any kind of daycare. Because of this I decided to keep my dog out of nose work to not infect the other dogs. After missing 3 classes of a 6 week class I just cut my losses on the class and daycare credits. Recently I have been trying to contact Sidekick about boarding since they are used to handling reactive dogs however after multiple attempts and messages left in the last few weeks I have never received any communication back even if it was just to say they are full. A lack of communication would make me nervous to leave my dog for an extended period of time. It really seems to be hit or miss on experiences. I would recommend the puppy class to anyone however other classes and daycare really seem like an at your own risk decision.

We took our 5.5 year old GSD here for reactive dog training. She was very reactive to other dogs prior to the class. They gave us the skills we needed to help redirect her and get her more comfortable in a lot of different situations. By the end of level 2, our dog was able to relax and still listen to us within feet of another dog. These classes were invaluable to us. The trainer was great and very knowledgeable. She is also very responsive when we had questions. By the end of level 2, our dog was much more confident as were we. Now she gets to go all kinds of places with us!

I love Sidekick Day care! Motley was super timid and shy when I first took her and I have loved seeing how she has becoming more friendly and open to meeting new dogs and people! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, communication is great as well!

We just used this boarding service over spring break. Our normal kennel was booked out. We used this one based on reviews.

This was the worst experience of boarding a dog. My wife requested a reservation online. We were charged but not notified of the booking being accepted. We didn't know if all days or just part of days were booked. My wife called and asked these questions. We were refunded and told that it would be charged at end of stay.

We called two more times to ask if our dog needed to have his food packed in a certain way and if he could bring a toy.

We show up to drop off our dog. They had cancelled our reservation. Then said we will just keep him in the office. Then said they had a spot. We went on vacation and came back to find that our dog wasn't fed or given medication properly.

We only dropped off enough pills for him each day. Plus enough food. His pills are two a day for hip dysplasia. He left with 14 pills and was returned with 11 still in bottle. That means they only gave him 3 pills. I called and was told by the manager that she did it personally and my dog also wouldn't eat. She also stated his food was picked up and put back up.

He eats at his normal kennel. He went a whole week on less than one cup of food. He gets his food left out and eats when he is hungry (free feed). We were returned the food and pills. The employees were too dumb to throw them away and say they did their job. They then lied and said they did. They said most dogs don't eat at the kennel.

We called and requested to speak to owner. She called and was very rude. Only said sorry and what do you want? Charged full price and said her employees did their job. No employee is going to admit they didn't do their job. The owner was out of town and not present. There must be cameras. I challenge the owner to view the footage and show us where our dog was fed/given medication daily. Dogs and kids are two things you don't mistreat.

They need to redo their website so you can schedule, see openings and when you're booked. They need to define how people are charged and when. If someone wants to board a dog use A Bit of Country K9 Kennel or Caroline's Pampered pets. Do not use this place unless they change their employees and limit size to what they can actually handle.

We have been taking our adopted Mini schnauzer, Lily to daycare to help socialize her. She gets so excited to be dropped off and loves seeing Maddie! I feel like she is well taken care of and she comes home happy and tired. We are also utilizing private lessons and will enroll her into a training class when she’s ready. So glad they are in Ozark!

My German Shepherd loves going here for daycare! Friendly staff and they treat my pup like one of their own!
