SSM Health Medical Group reviews
6Never had any problems here. Office staff are friendly, wait times aren't bad, and the doctors seem to care a lot. I've seen a couple of them here and have never had any issues.
While waiting for an appointment to establish primary care with one of the physicians I unfortunately had an issue come up that needed addressed immediately. I was told I could see another doctor in the practice that day and still see the specific doctor I wanted as my primary care a few months later.
The day of the second appointment, when checking in, I was told that I could not see the doctor due to previously seeing another doctor in the practice first. My appointment, which was scheduled 2 months prior, was canceled the day of while I was in the office and I was not allowed to even talk to the doctor. I would go elsewhere if you are wanting an organized office with a focus on patient care.
This place is dishonest and will try to get as much as they can from insurance, billing you along the way. Staff seem hostile as well.
Yes, I received a "We don't wanna treat you" message for me and my child after they fleeced our insurance company for a "comprehensive exam. " Run, do not walk away from this horrible Dr. Morgan clown.a scam, at best. Unfit to treat or bill insurance in my opinion.
I just received a letter in the mail saying I was no longer aloud to be a patient. I'm only writing this review so that maybe others will be aware before calling the office when you are scared for your health. I had been to an emergency room twice and needed a referral to a neurologist. My arms were numb and I went from being an avid hiker to losing most of the use of my legs over night. Like anyone would be, I was panicked. Especially when the receptionist of this office told me I would have to wait five months to see anyone or just go a third time into an ER. With my two ER visits offering no explanation, I felt totally helpless and didn't understand why this was an acceptable answer. I told her in a panic that I will just have to write about not getting the help I needed in a blog from my wheelchair. - this comment got me kicked out of having any primary care. I don't even have a silly blog and this is the first review I have ever written. So when someone is the most afraid for their health- make it harder on them? This is a sad reaction to an upset call from someone totally lost on what to do. It's their job to help and understand that people with failing health are scared and upset. This was an enormously hurtful overreaction. Also- luckily, she was wrong. I made more calls and am scheduled to see a neurologist very soon.
This place is lacking in efficiency and doesn't seem to care. We took our Granddaughter there, got in right away (but there were no patients waiting). The nurse was very nice and kid-friendly (Michelle). She was treated for strep throat. The Dr said they would call in the prescription and that she should go ahead and take one dose so she could take another before bedtime. The pharmacy did not get the prescription so I called the Dr office to speak with someone (nurse) and waited on hold a long time. Then called back and talked with receptionist telling her the whole situation. Instead of checking things out she said she would put me on hold again so never got answered. After waiting an hour with sick child in car we drove back to SSM. I went in and told receptionist "we have to find out what's going on. " She then went to ask and about 10 min later came back and said they had sent the prescription again. "don't know what happened, maybe a glitch in the system. " In the meantime, our granddaughter is in pain, and of course there is another wait at the pharmacy. The waiting room was empty so I wonder why the nurses were too busy to answer and also feel there is no excuse for the receptionist not trying to help until I went back to the office and insisted.
