SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake Saint Louis, Lake St Louis MO

(If you go to any er during busy times for example the weekend it’s going to be a long wait.)
Everytime I come here for bad circumstances (grandma passing) or good (nephew was born in the same month) it has been a good experience I’m here right now for an ear infection it didn’t take long and they are getting me out of here the nurses are amazing

We didn’t make it past the waiting room of the ER and got billed $1200. I have called and emailed and have not gotten any explanation. I will continue until someone answers me, but have learned to not visit this hospital ever again.

Horrible! This is my 2 y.o. Niece, she was taken to the ER because she hurt her arm. She was in pain holding her arm. They sent her home saying in was just swollen not broken. She held her arm and was hurting for 6 days. She saw a different facility and it's broken. A 2 year old was walking around with a broken arm for a week because of incompetent care. Do not take your loved ones to SSM St. Joseph West.

Have had surgery twice here. Staff is always proficient and friendly. Only complaint is that the hospital is always full so I've had to wait, sometimes 2 or 3 hours, to get a room.

You Don't Want My Opinion! I'm retired from CA 31yrs, began as Correctional Officer and ended as Accounting Chief the last 17yrs and NEVER have I felt like I was surrounded by so many people "Stuck On Stupid " working in the same room! My Life was literally in danger so I was a praying chocolate girl! I NEVER IN LIFE want to go to this hospital again and pray to God that I will NEVER have to! Hell, I feel more comfortable around the prison INMATES that I used to babysit in CA Prison! Honey, I worked in management 24 yrs w/CA and the level of PROFESSIONALISM was very much sub par. OH HELL NO! I was there bcuz of Seizures, 1 of the Dr's even talked like he never passed the 6th grade let alone College! No Thank You, I PASS!

These people that work here are the worst. I came in asking for some help getting my wife out of the car because she was unable to walk due to a fall and the nurse at the er desk was very rude and acted like I was wasting her time by asking for some help and the rest of the staff there's not enough room on this board to explain how terrible my experience was! Now we just wait for the same response that they always use

Very very rude customer service and bed side manor. Take the extra drive to URGENT CARE or BJC of Olive and between 270 and 141. Always had bad information going there. Tonight between 7: 00pm and 8: 00pm the on call nurse was talking in the hallway way in ear shot talking bad about my wife to the on call nurse coming on. Terrible bed side manor make the extra drive! Same with the employees that help the patients get checked into the regular part of the hospital.

The entire staff was friendly helpful and explained everything before they performed the treatment

Knee replacement with 1 day stay. Excellent care by all staff. Very clean, great preop and postop experience. PT was very helpful. I don’t have enough good to say. And my surgeon, Dr Adelani, is phenomenal!

Horrible experience in labor & delivery, SOME of the nurses were great. The cafeteria (room service) was HORRIBLE, who want to have a baby (c-section) and eat nursing home food. One night they brought me up a plate of slop, next I got a cook that look like they wanted to try it before giving it to me AND THEN A CUP OF SPRITE THAT WAS NOT EVEN HALF WAY FILLED. I will never give birth there ever again

I have had a wonderful experience with Ssm. I have several health problems and chose st. Joe West as the provider for my health care

Been here for over 2 1/2 hours with son having chest pain and tingling down arms and still sitting in waiting room.

My experience here was ok when i got into a car accident on 02/26/2023 at round 12am early morning. Got sent by ambulance to the hospital and the ICU Nurses are horrible. Not helpful at all pretty sure her name was kristie, bad nurse very B like. A lot of my nurses there werent the best honestly. Sunday afternoon i got moved to floor 4, room 405, those nurses were good, doing their job. BUT my overnight Nurse Amy came to take care of me on 02/26/2023- 02/27/2023 - 7am. Amy was the alltime best nurse i had there. She was amazing, on top of everything, very kind, quiet, respectful. Unlike the other nurses who were loud when they came in at 2 4 am especially the techs. But Amy was AMAZING. You guys need to give her a raise. I wish i had her the whole time i was there. It was definitely a pleasure to have her as my nurse.

It was horrible. I was brought in by ambulance. I sat in the waiting room for 6 hours thinking I was going to die there. I was having severe chest pains. My dad had heart attacks and I thought I was having a heart attack. In the ambulance they gave me fentanyl it didn't touch the pain. I can handle pain. I had a craniology and 3 cancers but never felt like I was going to die.

If I can give this hospital 0 stars I would but can't. So I came up here 1/27 around 3: 10pm I was complaining of breathing issues and my heart was hurting severely bad where I can't breathe and I was 24 weeks pregnant, it took them 5 hours to try to get me a room due to complications which I understand, I was also complained about having contractions like cramps every 5 mins apart. I asked for Tylenol they said they will asked to see if I can get some. I was never given nothing for the contractions pain. The doctor I had seen for my last pregnancy showed up scrolled through the computer said everything is fine, nobody tried to contact my ob doctor, I was given IV fluids and stuff for acid reflux they monitored baby for a bit and picked up my contractions on the monitor but nothing was done. I kept complaining of heart hurting and trouble breathing and I needed Tylenol for pain. Nope I got nothing but sent home, still in pain 10 hours in pain and it's been 3 days today is 1/30 and I'm still experiencing pains. All my problems I came there for was dismissed like I didn't mattered and I was rushed to get treatment. This place has severely gone down hill.
