St Louis Kolache reviews
14Delicious my fav was the chicken bacon ranch I expected the Philly to have cheese in it but the filling was still good the sausage and gravy was good, the s’mores was great, the cream cheese could of been a little better as in size but it does cost less so I still enjoyed it, the spinach and artichoke was awesome, the Mac n cheese and bacon was great, the merica was the reason I came back literally walked and got my food went to my car ate it and came back but overall I loved it haven’t ate the ham and cheese yet I’m full lol but the young lady at the counter was pleasant as well will be back she didn’t hear me say Buffalo chicken but that’s fine i will have a reason to come back
Waste of money. I’ve had Kolache Factory and they are delightful. My first visit here consisted of cold - not even room temperature - food. I figured I came in too late in the morning and I’d give them another chance - this time was somehow worse. Food was still cold, and all 3 variations I got were bland and extremely lacking in substance. For $3.50+ per kolache, I’d expect more than basically a sausage gravy spread on the bottom. Never again.
Be ware! They have a planty of choice and it is hard to choose what you want to eat first!:) I have tasted sweet things and "pizza style" things - they are very yummy! I can confirm their high rating!
If you have never had a Kolache, these are not really them. You will know this if you are from Texas or of Czech ancestry. HOWEVER, this doesn't mean the food is bad. Quite the opposite, the food is very good for a quick hand held meal on the go. They have lots of options utilizing many of St. Louis' unique food offerings as fillings for these tender pockets of backed dough. This breakfast won't break the bank.
The dough is way to sweet for most lunch items, as it overshadows the fillings. With that said, the ham and cheese and meatball items were ok. The sloppy joe, bacon Mac were pretty bad.
Went out of town 2 weeks in a row. Great for travel breakfast! Consider using more sauce in the pork and brisket.
Edit May 2023: Not really sure what happened. I came to Sundays in a row to get kolaches before I went to work. I got three kolaches both days, and ask for them to be warmed up. From the time it took me to walk to my car they were then cold. The staff also looks stoned and not as friendly as staff used to be. I'm not sure if there was a change in ownership or management but this location has gone vastly downhill
Food is good but service was bad, I think the girl at the counter must be having a bad day and has decided to be super unhelpful. I felt rushed and like I was bothering her.
They close at 2 and the really good kolache were all gone! Get there when they open or order ahead!
Delicious little pockets of bread. Definitely recommend the sausage gravy, it’s like a hand held biscuit and gravy.
I had nothing but good things to say about this location until I picked up my order.
I had placed my online order 5 days prior to pick-up and had received a confirmation email.
I had called to add on to my order only to find out they had never received an order for 30 kolache’s.
After speaking with Jessica the manager, which was very helpful, she ended up getting things straightened out and it ended up being something with the website.
When picking up my order the man with pink hair at the front pushed my order towards me with no words. I asked him a question about hours and his reply was “yep”.
Completely unprofessional, and there was no reason to be rude or bitter, as this was a simple mistake.
I made sure to tell this young man happy new year and I meant it. Still no reply. (all playing out in front of customers).
PEOPLE, please be nice to one another.
AGAIN, we have no idea what the person standing next to us may be going through and being polite is so simple.
This is your job, try and be professional.
Food is ridiculously good and ready quick. I have been twice for pick up orders and never had to wait for them to finishing packing it. The team is kind as well.
Spinach artichoke was my favorite. Hot salami was loaded up. Nate says this is good enough
Really like the Kolaches. Its a great alternative to Donuts or a breakfast sandwich. Really good savory fillings if you are looking for that.
Delicious! I loved the sausage/gravy and STL pizza one. My daughter has had several others with nothing but rave reviews. Owner and staff make the experience even better. Its very evident they strive for success and customer satisfaction. Thank you. Refreshing and appreciate experience
