St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store reviews
19Very Disappointed last July of 2019 I purchased tall/small dresser with mirror and a Queen size mattress and box spring and frame I was told that they DI NOT sell any used mattress or box spring low and behold 8 months into trying to enjoy my bed I was being eaten alive I found out from Pest Control services that my box spring and mattress was full of Bed BugsI live by myself lives the house once a month to pay my monthly bills, I don't have company because I'm a private person so I asked is it possible the store is selling used mattresses and box springs? I've had to throw away the bed set and my couch, after paying Pest control something I couldn't afford I am totally Disabled I had to purchase a Air mattress until I can afford to buy another bed set, Again very Dissatisfied with St. Vincent's DePaul on Christy Blvd
My experience today, was disappointing this store is my go to thrift shop. But today I was appalled by the lack of leadership, by management for allowing customers to not properly social distancing while in line to check out. Even when ask, and are physically present to see it happening. He choose to ignore the confrontation even though he was standing right there. This is a lack of accountability for the safety of your customers.
St Vincent's was great they are a few of the resell-it shops taking furniture and home goods in these Covid-19 times. All the employees wore masks but none of the 4 people dropping off stuff wore any masks. Not doing anyone any good. Not safe especially since hundreds more new cases have been announced just this afternoon. Thank you dock workers for doing it right. And stay safe.
Awesome thrift shop, neat stuff.
Most of the clothes and shoe apparel are old and outdated, but,
Love everything else:)
Their prices on furniture is too high and all the good furniture always come out on the floor with already sold signs on them
Great prices. Mostly new, or, nearly new products. Low &/or very reasonably priced items for sale. I got there often, just to see if there's anything new in stock.
Got shamed and harrassed by one of the employees that was moving items onto the floor.
I was on my cellphone looking up information on some items that i wanted to look up information on because I collect vintage glassware & home decor. Thr employee loudly made rude comments about me to his friend then he turned it on me.
I wasn't going to haggle pricing. I'm happy to pay. I just wanted to know when the items were made.
Why was it necessary to mock & be so rude?
I won't be going back.
St. Vincent de Paul thrift store has a wide variety of goods. The Society helps our community in many ways with caring and non judgmental ways. If you are ever in need get in touch with your local group.
Decent enough place but prices are too high.some quality is below what I would buy at any price
Great place to find used furniture, clothing, or all different kinds of little knick knacks. Very inexpensive. Check it out u never know what you might find.
They help many people to get furniture and bus vouchers. Located next to Burlington. Address is closer to Kingshighway and Lansdowne, just north of Burlington.
This place is so ridiculously expensive it makes places like Goodwill and Savers look good. Their staff is also relatively unfriendly and rude depending on the day. I would not suggest going here.
I always find something good every time I come here (at least, in the way of skirts and dresses, pants can be a mixed bag). I think the prices are comparable to other big thrift stores and they do have certain sales on furniture and tag colors; just look for them. Having two somewhat spacious dressing rooms is nice. While it was never previously brought up to me, they have a loyalty program and my cashier enrolled me in it. Definitely beats dropping hundreds of dollars for fast fashion from the mall.
I think for used clothes should be priced cheaper cause it's supposed to help homeless and people less fortunate and there prices on clothes are more then when I get clearance new clothes all the time. Why I only shop here or goodwill less likely to Kmart, Gordman's, Sears, new York company, Walmart and more for the fraction of the price here.
I live right behind this building I'm a thrift store shopper. I like some of the stuff. To bad they don't do TV's and converter boxes. But I find good prices on the DVDs though and found a nice decent camera that's closest thrift store I can come to.
Things have changed since I last visited. Not as much merchandise to choose from. Staff is very different.
The cashier, 'eharper', was quite- unfriendly, short-tempered, snappish, rather rude; I was made to feel as if I was an imposition on her time there. Or maybe it was that she was unhappy being there.
I'll try another location before I go back to the South Kingshighway store.
I volunteer at this place and they have a lot of great things, and there in good condition. Staff is very friendly and very helpful.
Selection is usually pretty good. It's still hit or miss, being a thrift store, but overall pretty good. They don't usually have a ton of men's clothes, but their selection of glasswares and plates is pretty good. They also have a small selection of new stuff, probably overstock based on how random it can be. Staff is hit or miss as far as helpfulness goes, but they're mostly friendly.
Had a nice time shopping in the store. The cashier was very polite and friendly. However there was a tall gentlemen that was rude, there was no name tag on his shirt so I don't know his name. My overall visit was great.
