Absolutely loved it never been there before and for my anniversary my husband took me here and the service and food was wonderful highly recommend my date nights with my husband are done here its perfect? Food and service are excellent absolutely every time

Food is overrated. There is no flavor other than the smoke. Any other bbq joint is better. Not recommended!

I don't fully understand why this place is popular. I will share our two experiences. The first time we went, the food was okay and everything, but I noticed a couple of hairs on my plate. Thank goodness I had already finished eating. I know that stuff can happen anywhere, but when it happens to me, it ruins me on a place. I wasn't planning on going back after that, but my wife wanted to try it one more time, so I said what the heck. The second time we went, we were the only ones in there and we had ordered our food when a group of four had come in and set not too far from us. They had never been there before and asked the waitress what was good there. She said "you're asking the wrong person, because none of it's good to me. I've been here 20 years and I don't like any of it". Those were her exact words, blew us away. Between the hairs in my food, and what I would consider a rude service and atmosphere, it's not a place that I have to go back for a third time. I guess if you don't mind hairs in your food or rude service, then yeah go for it. I mean people can think whatever they want, but this is not the type of place that would be worthy of driving for. ‍️

Going downhill fast. Just a well known name living off and outdated reputation. Scalloped potatoes came out all but icebox cold. For the first time ever my wife and I both HAD to cut the pork steak with a knife. It tasted like it was cooked in an oven. This was not bbq. After waiting 45 minutes what a letdown. Even the toast was burnt. We live within just a few minutes of this place and ate here many many times over the years. I'm not sure what has changed so badly in this place in recent years. But it isn't the same place anymore.

Very good pork steak, went for the ribs, but they were out of them. Service is good and friendly.

Ribs were delicious, fall off the bone tender, no sauces needed. Sauces table side, taste tested them all. Good variety of sides. Excellent service

Met family to celebrate birthdays and had excellent food and service! Well worth the 3 hour drive to get there!

The food is awesome, the waitress was nice and tended to us we'll. The operation is clean and inviting. Love it.

Amazing as usual. We got take out so we already had a box to use for leftovers. That turned into brunch the next day

Big Herb had his wedding anniversary dinner here. Nothing fancy but vittles were spot on. Pork steak is a beast! Great flavor! We will be back for more vittle madness for sure. If you get a chance to stop by here, do it!

This place was great, I gave it 4 stars because they had ran out of certain items on the menu. However, this place had hands down the best pork steak I have ever had, period. The service was great also. We had a whole crew a guys and we left full and had a great time I would definitely go back next time I pass through.

Dinner was great. Prices were reasonable. This is a non formal place and the community really supports them. Stop by and say hi.

It was hard not to just let ourselves inhale the pork steak! It was that good. The pork easily fell apart with a fork and had an excellent bite. My husband liked the sweet sauce and thought it had molasses in it. I mixed the tangy mild sauce with the sweet for a savory flavor. The sides were okay. It was a different BBQ experience since we have never had two-inch thick pork steak before. It was a treat!

We stumbled upon this hidden gold mine. We ordered the pork steak dinner and a pulled pork dinner. It was so amazing we even got some dinners to go. We will definitely be back again and again. We live in Sikeston was just driving checking out the 100 mile yard sale Saturday and got hungry. I highly recommend this place. I have always bought the Strawberry's rub for years and never knew it was made in Holcomb, MO. Our waitress was super nice and we never had a dry glass.
