Absolutely love living here! The apartments are updated and in nice shape. It's super convenient being so close to UMSL and convenient with modern appliances including electric stove, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. Great apartment for the pricing!
Edit: I lived in these apartments for over two years. When I moved in the management was proactive and made the environment safe and well maintained. However, in the last 6 months of living there they had 3 different managers each less knowledgeable than the last. I had my car damaged by someone trying to break into it more than once when asked to see the cameras manager said they had no access, did not know how to get acces or which security company they used. I found the information and went to pass ut along to office. I was asked to contact security company myself to see the footage as I had already found the information.
As far as maintenence goes everything is mildly shotty. All new appliances that wore out quickly and were less than efficient including a leak that caused mold under the sink that was never properly fixed even after contacting maintenance and having them repair it, rugs and blinds not installed properly leading to snags in carpeting, outside lights not always working, and 3 gates of which one was chained off due to malfunction and the other open all times negating its purpose.
Finally upon move out I admit my apartment was not perfect, but for living there over two years I didn't expect it to be. When originally asked multiple times in both writing and via calls I was told verbally my apartment was cleaner than most when left with little damage and I should be getting back my deposit, and it should be in the mail. This does not surprise me as managment through the years had seen my aparmtent and often commented on its cleanliness especially in comparison to other units. While original management was proactive in pest management, pest control in the last months from my understanding became more regular do to other units having pest issues. After that I tried calling and emailing again to no avail. I thought to log into the portal after MONTHS of calling with no answer and found charges for carpet cleaning, painting, maintenance, and an overall cleaning fee totalling the complete amount of deposit for exactly $600.
As quickly as this place went downhill I highly suggest students find other accomadations. Especially as the security including the gate and outside lighting did not regularly work in combination with gang territory that has physically marked the aparmtent building and area as their own. That including the company who owns it being out of state and this being their only property in state that they are trying to offload after about a year of owning, just be forwarned. There are much better and safer alternatives with more amenities around the same price.

Maintenance doesn’t respond even in emergency situations. No one is ever there to answer the phone. You put in request in the app they don’t show up. I haven’t been able to flush my toilet in days. So this is plumbing issue which I think should be taken a little bit more serious bc where can I use to bathroom if I can’t in my unit.

I lived here for almost 6 years. When I moved in in 2017 I had really good experiences, and the price definitely was a huge selling point, as well as the fact that I had a dishwasher and washer/dryer, which were great amenities that I couldn't find anywhere else. The front desk staff was okay, if not great, and maintenance was fairly reliable. It has went drastically downhill in the last couple of years since being in new management. The front desk staff are not as helpful and almost never answer the phone or the door. The gates are constantly broken, and repairs take months and months to get done. The washer/dryer set is extremely ineffective (think like 6-7 hours to do a full load) and ours broke down constantly. The floor is cheap laminate that peels and gouges easily, and the walls are very thin. The apartments themselves are fairly nice and spacious and I love that they're all electric and have utilities there, it's just been the terrible management and extremely slow repair time over the last few months thats been a problem. In fact, I moved out in September (my ex still lives there), and I believe they still have not taken me off the lease, despite me calling and talking to people about it at least five times- I still get calls and emails from them.
